1995 chrysler airconditioning pump and belt

Tried to start my 95 concorde last night and it had some trouble starting, which is not common. then i noticed smoke coming form under the engine. when i looked it was the air conditioning pump, it seemed to no longer be turning.

my question is, for a short term fix, could i cut the belt off? there are 2 belt infront of the engine, i dont know what else that might effect.

thoughts?

Cranks but wont start

Check for spark first. If you have spark,
Are you getting fuel pressure? If not, the fuel pump is the likely fault.

Where is the water pump on a 1995 Chrysler Concorde

The water pump is driven by the timing belt, so the front of the engine must come off, including radiator, fans, belts, pulleys, timing belt cover, etc. the timing belt removed (making sure cams do not rotate, water pump can then be changed. 4 bolts on it to be removed. The water pump is driven by the backside of the timing belt. The pump is buried deep in the front of the engine.
