Tried to start my 95 concorde last night and it had some trouble starting, which is not common. then i noticed smoke coming form under the engine. when i looked it was the air conditioning pump, it seemed to no longer be turning.
my question is, for a short term fix, could i cut the belt off? there are 2 belt infront of the engine, i dont know what else that might effect.
thoughts?
Hello first of all you need to see if this belt only drives the ac clutch if so yes you can cut this off the compressor sounds like it is frozen the other option is if there is other things ran with the same belt take a string go around everything but the ac when it meets mark the ending point holding with your finger cut at the mark tape string together like a belt go to part store get a match to the string
