I have a 2007 Saturn Vue greenline. Came with a 5 year/100k mile warranty on hybrid components. Last summer the hybrid batteries were replaced under a recall. I now have error codes reporting problems with the batteries. I have 102k miles, am I still covered becuawse they were replaced under a recall recently?

No Normally The 5 Year/1000k Warranty Is Exempt After That Duration. But If You Have Documentation Of The Battery Swap Due To The Recall It Should Have Been Recorded! You Would Have To Contact A GM Dealer To See If They Will Honor It !! I Hope This Help's As It Is Important To Keep All Receipts!!

SOURCE: Poor gas mileage in a 2008 Saturn Hybrid Vue

You are always going to get worse gas mileage with E85 than regualr gasoline.  My sister has a colbalt and she mixes 1/2 gas and 1/2 e85.  The dealer told her she could do this to improve mileage.  I would not try it in your car unless you check with the dealer first, it could mess your engine up if you do it.  If you are getting that mileage with gasoline, then i would change spark plugs to bosch platnium 2 or something that allows more spark.

SOURCE: Remove oil pan from 2007 Saturn Hybrid Vue

Believe it or not, it is a VERY simple task. Take a flat-tipped screwdriver and tap in between the motor and oil pan. All automotive books say the SAME thing. This is regular practice and will NOT damage anything. You have to pry the pan off. If it is adhered this good....make double sure you clean both surfaces off before re-applying the new pan gasket. A scraper (has a razor blade on the end of a handle) will help the clean the block surface.

One thing to remember, once you get the gasket sealant oneither the block or the pan, let it set till it is tacky. Then, as you put the pan back up, work a cross pattern to install the bolts and only start them finger tight. Once you have all the bolts on, tighten then again in a criss cross pattern and try not to overtighten them until you have them all snugged down. Then tighten them to specs. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!!! You gasket will start to "seep" out and then you will have to repeat the process for a leaking oil pan.

If you need more info, post a comment again.

SOURCE: changing the tramission filter on a 2007 Saturn

Hello and welcome. here is the instructions for removing the trans filter. you will need to drop the bottom trans pan off to gain access to the filter.

  • Remove the oil pan bolts from only the front and the sides.
  • Loosen the rear oil pan bolts about 4 turns.
  • Lightly tap the oil pan with a rubber mallet or pry in order to allow the fluid to drain.
  • Remove the remaining oil pan bolts.
  • Remove the oil pan.
Install the oil pan attaching bolts.
    Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

SOURCE: Hi, I have a check front

The TPMS light (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) for that vehicle should function as follows.

If the light is on and steady, it means that the pressure in one or more of the tires is too low, and if the light is flashing, then it indicates that one or more of the tires are over-inflated.

    1. Turn the ignition key to the "On" or "Run" position but do not start the vehicle. (If the vehicle has an electronic keyless ignition then place the ignition switch in the "ACCY" position)

    2. Press the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons at the same time on the vehicles remote key fob, and keep holding the two buttons down until you hear the horn beep, and usually this takes around five seconds. The horn beep will indicate that the learn cycle has begun.

    3. Re-learn the TPMS system. Deflate or inflate air into the driver-side front tire for approximately 8 to 10 seconds and then listen for the horn to beep one time. (the horn might beep before the 8 to 10 second re-learn, or it could even take as long as 30 seconds after)

    4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the remaining three tires. Also, the remaining three tires must be checked in the exact following order, the passenger-side front tire, the passenger-side rear tire and finally the driver-side rear tire. After the final TPMS sensor has re-learned then the horn will beep twice.

    5. Listen for the horn to beep twice. When the horn does beep twice, it wikll be the indicator that the TPMS system has re-learned and reset.

    6. Turn the ignition switch to the "Off" position, and then be certain that all four tires have the correct tire pressure as recommended on the drivers door, and the next time that the ignition is turned on, the tire pressure light should be reset.

Let me know if you require any further assistance.

How long should I be able to expect my brakes and rotors to last? I have a two year old car with less than 30,000 miles on it. 2007 Saturn Vue. I don't know what the Green Line is supposed to mean but it...

it all depends on your driving conditions if you have a lot of stop and go traffic everyday you will wear them out alot faster than highway travel. generally a good set of brakes especially original brakes should last about 50,000 miles if not driven to hard or under extreme conditions, most rotors can be machined atleast once before having to be replaced with new ones unless your vehicle runs composite rotors they will have to be replaced everytime you have new pads installed.

2007 Saturn VUE Green Line recommendation

Our family has owned Saturns since 1992. They've always been reliable out-performers, until the most recent one. I took delivery of my 2007 Hybrid Vue on 31 May, 2007. From the first tankful of gas, the mileage has been woefully short of the projections - worst case was 19 and best was 32 on the freeway at 70 mph and no air conditioning. Most recently, I drove the Vue down I-95 in Florida at around 70 and no A/C. Mileage? 28. Do the math. That's about 3 mpg better than my first Vue would have gotten. At $3 a gallon, it'll take me approximately 233,000 miles to recoup the $3000 premium I paid for the car. If you live in a climate where air conditioning is not a means of survival in the summer, then this car might be OK.
