Assuming that you are asking about the timing belt?. if you are not mechcanically inclined, you might not want to tackle this one yourself. if you don't do exactly what needs to be done you will be doing damage and costing yourself a whole lot more than you would have "if" it would have been done by a professional.

How often do I need to change cambelt

each vehicle will have its own requirement that should, nowadays, be expressed in terms of miles and, alternatively, period of time. You should comply with whichever happens to come about first.
If it is specified that that it should be either 60000 miles or five years and the mileage criterion is reached first then the belt should be changed.
Some people do not drive a lot and I have seen 10 year old cars that have only done 20000 miles but the cambelt has snapped because the belt was not changed at the specified 5 year period.

Your vehicle will have its own particular requirement.

Some cars are fitted with chains rather than a belt, my Honda FR-Vis one such vehicl. Even these need changing now and again.
Please IDyour make/model/engine and resubmit the query

Cambelt change ford focus 1.8tdci how do i do it

You need to get an auto repair manual for that specific auto and follow the instructions to the letter. You have to be able to find top dead center. This is when the number on piston, which is closest to the front of the car, is in on the top of the compression stroke, with both valves closed. The timing mark will be on zero. Follow the instructions.

Can you show me a picture of timing on ford focus 1.8 tddi enduro di engine (cambelt)

there is not marks.you must have special tools to change the cambelt and retiming the engine.the camgears are conejointed in camshafts dont try anything!a haynes manual can help you but much better an experianced engineer must do this!the zetec engines are sophisticated with variable timing and complicated working procedure.

Cambelt changes

we recommend to change the cambelt or the timing belt every 2 years but usually some of our costumers changes about 4 years which is not suitable for the car.
