I'm not sure for this particular vehicle. but almost always the pcv valve is located on top of valve cover. it will be a small oil filter looking thing or a large hose that leads into your intake manifold. if the valve itself is not visible. remove the cam cover and it will be directly underneath the hose

This is usually the case, but on this engine there are no hoses running from the intake or the valve cover. There are 2 hoses that run from the block to the airbox but one appears to be unrestricted and the other im pretty sure has to do with

Where is pvc valve on 91 crownvic 5.0

Check your valve cover. The pcv (positive crankcase ventilation) valve is pressed into a rubber grommet, it is a small plastic piece half the size of your finger with a check valve in the middle and its hooked into a rubber hose that goes into your intake or carb depending on your vehicle setup

Engine diagram 96 vw passat vr6

PCV valves aren't common on European cars, instead they regulate vacuum flow by connecting a small diameter hose to a very small hole in the intake manifold or throttle body.

The other end of the hose is typically connected to the top of the engine at the oil mist and flame trap which is usually inside one of the cam covers. The main engine crankcase breather hose typically also connects there and sometimes is connected to the air cleaner side of the air intake and sometimes directly to the air filter housing.

The small hole generally needs checking during maintenance as they frequently become blocked. The hole is something like 5/64 inch but mostly it is beneficial to enlarge it just a little, say to 3/32.

Sorry can't advise you about the diaphragm valve...

I just called several automotive parts stores, and they all say that this car doesnt have a pvc valve?

Hi,

There is a PVC valve in this Model.Usually located in the valve cover, it's a resilient molded rubber adapter that the PCV valve fits onto. This rubber accessory provides a secure fit and prevents annoying vacuum leaks.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I am geting a lot of oil in my air filter in my

if you don't see it smoking out the tail pipe, and its not missing there is no need to overhaul yet,pcv valves are not expensive, shaking it does not tell you if its bad or good,so just replace it,also check for any collapsed vacume hoses that would keep the engine from breathing.

Changing PCV valve

you pcv valve should be located on the top or around the intake on top of the engine. It is covered by a little pcv valve rubber hose...it is easy to identify because it is similar to a radiator hose but a lot smaller...no where near the size of a radiator hose...but when located, the pcv valve just pulls out and to check for it being bad, shake it and it should sound like something loose inside the pcv valve (thats a good pcv valve) but what they look like, they should be a silver looking color with a small little neck on it
