Are your headlights and tail lights hooked into your alarm system (the flash when arming and disarming). You may have used a wire that was part of the alarm system. Does your alarm system kill the ignition so the van cannot be started? Could have done something to destroy the alarm system.
Might want to start by going backwards. Take the stereo out and putting any wiring back to the way it was before until things go back to normal. If that does not work then take the alarm out and repair any wires that have been cut and spliced for it.

Hi may i know how to fix the dashboard panel no backlight and headlight not switch off warning beep sound of Proton Saga BLM 1.3 Kindly advice and Thank you

Dashboard backlight works together with the tail light. Both the headlight and tail light is controlled by relays. Check the engine bay fusebox. Look at the inside of the fusebox cover and you can see the 'location map'of relays and fuses. Theheadlight and tail light relays sits side-by-side. Change both and check for blown hedlight fuses..

How do I charge my battery and shut off the alarm in my 1995 astro van?

Try turning key in door, the factory alarm will disarm when unlocked in door...that shouldn't affect the vehicle with starting if say try letting it sit on jumpers for a bit before trying to start ...make sure lights blower fan and stereos off will help a bit...(on both vehicles)...

When I turn on the headlights the dash lights/ tail light/ parkers fuse blows. It started doing it intermittantly but now blows instantly. I've disconnected the tail lights and checked the wiring there....

Your problem can be sorted out only if there is a multimeter to check or a test lamp to check , circuit by circuit.
If on changing the fuse there is no short but happens only when the car moves, it must be checked at the tail lamps, the park lampsand the dash with a simulated tap. change fuse with different circuits chosen to come to the fault.

2004 Olds Silhouette - electric door locks lock on their own

Most likely your alarm system needs reset. When you use the button to turn the alarm on and off the horn beeps and lights flash. Horn beep when switch turned on, makes sense would be in the alarm system with all you've told.

2003 Sienna tail lights don't work when headlights are on

Look under the dashboard, next to/above the park brake pedal, for the interior fuse box. It has a black plastic cover. Remove the TAIL fuse, and see if it is blown. This should get you fixed up. Hope this helps, and Thanks for choosing FixYa.

1996 ford aerostar van light switch

I took it to the Ford dealership. Don't ever let a shade tree mechanic work on your electrical. It turns out, someone wired the alarm totally wrong. Which shorted out my headlight switch.
