Hello
This cars engine is controlled electronically by a computer called the PCM, so whenever you experience a problem like this you MUST have the electronic system tested for fault codes, this is called an "OBD2" fault code test. To try and guess would cost allot of money and most likely not fix what is really wrong. Have the test run and then a trained techincian will look at the results of the fault code testing and he or she will decide what may be creating your problem of the engine hesitation when you press the gas pedal.

Cold choke baffle has 3/16 opening minute I pump accelerator choke thermostat closes primary baffle shut no air to start I force choke open to start why insufficient air to run at high idle?

Your engine probably has an automatic choke device that adjusts automatically with engine temperature. To set the choke when the engine is cold you have to depress the accelerator to the floor and release it completely. You shouldn't have to depress the accelerator again to start the engine, turn the key the engine should start. As the engine begins to warm up it will also begin to initially run faster then it will start to run rough. At this point you have to press the accelerator and release it again. The auto choke mechanism should allow the choke butterfly to open. There may be a number of stops in the system and the choke butterfly will stop again still not fully open and only become fully open when the engine is at operating temperature. Hope this answers you question, Rgs. Bob

Runs rough after warm-up

jshuffman: Believe it or not your ignition module (located behind the coil packs) could be the problem. If your cooloing fans are not working either, this is the culprit. The worst part is that it won't always show a code on the old obd 1 systems. This module controls more than you think along with the computer on this type of car. Good luck. Hope this helps. P.S. Air conditioning will quit working too.

My 124 260e A/T merc benz starts fine and accelerates fine and runs fine for the first 4-5 minutes. After which, no matter how I press the accelerator pedal, there's just no speed/throttle. Hence

run the fault codes to determine the problem area ( ECM , fuel pressure , faulty injector control, MAF/VAF sensors or failed heated oxygen sensors

Hello, I have a 2002 nissan sentra, 1.8 ltr..and the car sundenly has started acting as if it is not getting fuel, sometimes it runs fine for about 15 minutes, stopping and going as it should, then it will...

You will need to run a fuel pressure test on it to see if your fuel pressure is correct. How many miles are on the car and when was the last time the fuel filter was replaced.

Mercedes C200 just idling accelerator does not work

Try this. Turn the ignition to position 2 and leave it about two minutes(you should hear components moving/making noise under the hood). This should relearn the throttle stop(sounds like your vehicle lost synchronization). After that period of time, start the car and see if it helps. If not, then it will probably have to go to the dealer so they can use the computer to try and relearn it.
