Trying to change the climate cabin control air filter. cannot figure out how to do it

You did not post the information about the year make and model but in most cars it is behind the glove box. There are stoppers on the glove box on each side and you remove those by sliding or pulling them out. Then the door opens all the way and you can see the plenum. The filter is a tray that you slide out of the plenum.

How do I replace the cabin filter on a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder?

As i'm a Nissan tech, here is a shortcut to removing the cabin filter, open the glove box, you will see either side of the glove box (at the back) stoppers that stick out to prevent the glove box falling out, if you use a little force and push them inwards towards the inside of the glovebox then the glove box will fall out slightly but enough to access the 8mm bolt to the left behind the glove box that holds the trim in place, remove trim then remove cabin filters, two of them! Fit new filters and fit trim back with 8mm bolt, then push and close the glove box, it will go back into place! All done!!!

HOW TO CHANGE THE IN CABIN FILTER ON A CHRYSLER 200

All of the older answers are incorrect. Open the glove box. Remove everything from the glove box and set it aside. On the right and left sides of the glove box, there are some rubber stoppers. Simply push inward on the sides of the glove box toward the center so that you can open the glove box beyond the point where the rubber stoppers stop it.

After opening the glove box all the way (past the rubber stoppers) look inside, just above the blower unit. There are arrows on the left and right end of a rectangular black cover. Push the release tabs which the arrows point to, and remove the cover. Pull the filter out.

Install the new filter, and put the cover back in place by snapping it on as you found it. Push the sides of the glove box toward the center, and close the glove box. Open it as you normally would, and put your stuff back in the glove box.

Location of Cabin Air Filter on 2003 KIA Sedona

Hi, it is a regtangular shaped box located behind the glove box. You gently remove the stoppers on both sides of the box and allow it to hang freely on its hinges . Then you will see the filter assembly. The filter elememt rests sideways within a frame that you slide out by gently pressing on the clips at either end....

Replace cabin filter f150 lariat 2006

This is one of those topics that I have seen both ways.

1. The 2004 was the only MY to include an airfilter.
2. The late build 2004 to 2008 could have a dealer installed cabin air filter kit installed.

So don't be shocked if you go fishing for it, and it is not there. On to the directions :

Open the passenger-side glove compartment box. Remove all of the items currently stored in the glove box

Notice two screws on the inside ceiling of the glove box securing the glove box to the dashboard. Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove these screws. The glove box will now be loose. Wiggle the box off the dashboard and allow it to hang.

Locate the rectangular plastic housing; this is where the cabin air filter is stored. Remove the housing cover by pulling it out of place. Remove the dirty cabin air filter by sliding it out of the clips securing it in place. Discard the dirty filter.

Slide the replacement cabin air filter into the retainer clips. Push the filter housing cover back into place until you hear it lock. Place the glove compartment back into place. Replace the two screws that secure the glove box in place and tighten with the screwdriver. Place the items back into the glove box and close the box.

2008 honda pilot cabin air filter

This solution pertains to a 2008 Honda Pilot...To replace the cabin air filter which is located on the passenger side of the vehicle behind the glove box: Open glove box and remove stored items...while sitting in the passenger seat, pull towards you on each of the two clips on the left and right side of the glove box...this will cause them to become loose and the glove box will tip out completely exposing the inside of the dashboard. (Alternately...carefully pull towards you on the top center of the glove box which will cause the left and right side stops to pull away from the edges and allow the glove box to tip out) Here it gets tricky...the box holding the cartridge for the cabin air filter is the large black box on the left side behind the glove box The filter fits in a removable tray vertically inside that box. A pressure clip at the top of the box allows the vertical cover to be removed exposing the tray with the Cabin air filter... BUT!!! There is a plastic bar an inch or so high which has been placed there by the manufacturer to prevent most from changing the filter without the service department being involved. This bar must be cut with a sharp sheetrock knife or hacksaw and discarded, (it will not be reinstalled). Then there is a flat metal bar behind the plastic bar that can be removed using an 8mm socket and a phillips screwdriver. There are 2 8mm screws and one phillips head screw on each side that must be removed in order to remove the metal bar. THEN you can remove the cover to the cabin air filter box, pull out the tray with the filter (note how the filter is in the box so the new one can be placed the same way) reinsert the tray with the new filter and replace the tray cover. All other steps to finish the job are obvious as everything is the reverse. Actually the whole process is a lot of trouble and unless you are determined to change the filter I would recommend not doing it.

Already have cabin filter, need to know how to install it.

Remove all of the contents in the glove box. Remove the glove box door support. Open the glove box. Squeeze the sides of the glove box inward, to drop the box door open further. The cabin air filter is in a small rectangular box, behind the glove box.

In cabin air filter

its most likely located behind the glove box. which usually comes unhinged fairly easily from its open position stoppers. then there would be an access panel to remove to get to filter(s)
