89 Jeep Cherokee Sport- brake lights, horn, blinkers, turn signal, radio, heating and air are all out. However, the dome light and instrument panel lights are working. I've checked all of the fuses in the panel under the drivers side and they are good. I've looked and looked under the hood and can't find the engine fuse box (most manuals say it is on the passangers side by the battery or right behind the glove box - all I see on the passanger's side are the fuel reserve tank, relay lid and battery). Under the plastic relay compartment lid there are only relay switches and much wiring that connects to other wires - no fuses.
1. Is there even an engine fuse box on 89 Jeep Cherokee?
2. Should I be looking for something besides engine fuses?
Many thanks!
1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4.0, no brake lights, fuse is good and bulbs are good. There is a wire that is not connected coming from the brake switch (the box that connects to the pedal) I think this has been unplugged since I got the vehicle. Looks like its connected to the wiring for a trailer.

I think I have found the problem. When I wiggle the ignition switch the turn signals and radio go on and off so I feel the issue is in the ignition switch. From what I understand the actual electronics for the switch are at the base of the sterring column behind the lower dash panel and is connected by a rod that may need adjusting.
