You have a wiring problem on the control side wire . One wire will have B+ voltage the other goes to the PCM- engine computer . The engine computer suppy's a ground when triggered by cam sensor . Your problem is you have a bare wire touching ground making the injector fire all the time the key is on ! Check the wiring harness from the injector to the PCM for rubbed through spots !
The PCM must be inside the passenger compartment under the right side dash or behind the right kick panel . Here is a web site for free wiring diagrams . http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model and engine size . Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on fuel controls . Click on the search button , then the second blue link. Second diagram down is fuel injector electrical circuit. Dark green wire is the controlled ground . That is the wire to check .

SOURCE: injector not functioning

Disconnect the injector connector from the injector ,You have to make sure that the fuel injector is receiving 12 on one side of the connector with the key On, If So good leave the tip of the test light there and connect the clip of the testlight to the other termnal in the connector, do not allow the two to touch togother! have someone crank the engine the test light should Blink when hooked across the connector confirming the computer is grounding the circuit and there is 12V available at the injector.
If no power at the injector connector contact me and I will help you diagnose the source of the problem.
If there is No blink contact me and I can help you the injector ground is controlled by the computer which receives its signal from the spinning distributor usually the pick-up assemble inside the distributor and sometimes the control module.

SOURCE: cannot get 1987 chevy van 20 to keep running... stalls out

Best do a fuel pressure test. Should have chg. fuel filter from the get go. The only other filter is on the end of the fuel pump in tank. Bad gas and dirty gas will plug up fuel filter, hense burn pump up.

SOURCE: 92 chevy 1500 5.7 tbi starts and dies. replaced

Try using a good fuel line/injector cleaner Seafoam is a good one. If this does not help you may have tone or more clogged injectors. Clean these out and you should be good to go. tTo see Seafoam in action goto you tube type Seafoam into the search box.

1995 chevy g20 van will start with starting fluid when sprayed into airflow (black chamber) and runs for a few seconds only ? Where to start ?

Check your fuel pressure(should be 40 psi or better) after the fuel regulator. In your case, you probably have none. So check and or replace the fuel regulator. If this does not take care of the problem, you would need a fuel pump.

I have a 94 GMC 350 tbi that runs fine in the driveway, I can rev it to redline, go down the road and get to about 50mph and it cuts out and starts missing

Have you changed your fuel filter lately?
Also, TBI systems put much greater stress on the main injector, and sometimes they stop reacting quickly enough to provide sufficient quantity of fuel at higher RPM under load.
Start by replacing your fuel filter, changing ALL FUEL IN THE SYSTEM (to rule out fuel contaminant issues, especially if you've been using ethanol blends), and check the fuel pickup in the tank to be sure it isn't clogged or obstructed.
When all else is ruled out, try replacing the main injector.

1994 chevy conversion van G20 explorer limited 350 TBI... Sat for 3 yrs I changed all fluids, gas, fuel pump, sock and filter, cap, wires, rotor, ICM in the distributor, cleaned out injectors, then it...

Lost me there at"injectors don't fire, but they do" Anyway, the crank sensor/ECM is what controls injector fire. Could be corrosion at the injector, crank sensor, or ECM plug. Could be the injector/s died. Been a long time since I worked on a TBI. but the injectors can be checked with an ohm meter. I don't remember the numbers though. You can find the numbers on the internet.

Fuel tbi strting issue

Verify fuel pressure to the throttle body, if ok, then with the key on check for 12v at the injectors , if not , check fuses, if ok, check for injector pulse. disconnect injector connector , jump the two leads with a noid light or test light and have someone crank the engine, bulb should blink.

This van is TBI right? then its only 14psi of fuel pressure. to check fuel presssure a adapter is needed at the filter. I would verify fuel pressure first.

I have a 98 chevy 2500 that wont start but cranks over

You will need to get up there Right above the Throttle Body and hold a Good Maglight or LED Flashlight above the TBI and have Someone Crank it Over. You will see the Spray inside the Bowls if it is Getting to the TBI.
