If your thermostat is bad, it will cause the ecu to keep the fan running at high speed since the engine is remaining hot from limited coolant flow. Have the thermostat checked and changed if it has never yet been replaced.

2002 lincoln. Ls v8.. burning smell?? Tried to run hot after 15min drive at a red light but when i took off went back to half way? Keeps running hot??

Engine is too hot which is burning oil and road dirt off the engine. Sounds like a bad thermostat or a water pump problem. The radiator may be partially blocked too.

Why does my fan run at high speeds for my 2005 ls lincoln

If you mean the radiator fan, the switch in the engine block that tells the drive train engine module when to shut down is probably bad. This switch/sensor probably needs to be replaced. It is located near the water pump and thermostat.

Northstar engine over heating; replaced thermostat, flushed radiator, still overheats

have a compression test done to check head gasket and cracked head/s. Flushing a radiator is a waste of time as blocked cores will not clear so have a flow test done on the radiator to gauge the number of blocked cores. Check the fins condition on the cores . If you have a viscous fan hub on the fan then replace it ( indications are that it overheats at lights ,when going slow or high rpms going slow but cools down when moving at speed). Check timing and air/fuel ratio as lean fuel mixture will cause overheating Check that the bottom radiator hose is not collapsing under high rpm blocking off the water flow.

2004 jeep grand Cherokee's radiator fan won't run on high

Hi Al, I'm glad to help!

Three possible causes: (1) The high speed circuit in the radiator fan motor could be defective. (2) The high speed fan relay Could be defective. (3) It possibly may have a wiring issue. I've seen at times where you can wiggle the fan motor connector that's mounted on the fan shroud and the motor will kick on. If this is the case then replace the hole assembly which is a motor and shroud assembly. Hope this helps and have an awesome day.

Radiator fan wont run at high speed

do you mean high engine speed or fan speed.
if fan speed is slow then motor in the fan is getting bad.
if your talking about running engine, then could be nothing because the sensor tell it not to..like running down the road it cools the car down and engine temp drops slightly enough to cut sensor off.
