92 celica I came to a stop at a stop light and the car died. Got it home and there is no ark from the spark plugs to the engine 92

Hi there my name is Brandon I am a mechanical n electronic engineering technician you can field test the coil take a reg test light and ground it to the body not the battery and put the light next to the coil and pull the wire you will see the Ark and pull the light out bout a half in, and it should be very fast Ark and also I would check out the iac sin. With it running unplug it and if it is good you rpm will change but if its bad it will not do anything and maybe even die

These are indications of a dead battery. Have a load test done on the battery to check for a dead cell. check that the battery posts and terminals are shiny clean and tight.

Yeah like the guy above said check your dizzys coil. I had the EXACT problem. Also pick up a circuit tester and hook it to the dizzys ignition and have a friend turn the engine over. If the light blinks then it's the coil for sure

it is the throttle body (diaphragm) not an electrical problem at all

1998 Chrysler Concorde just stopped running while driving down the road. No warnings, the engine just shut down. The check engine light did not come on, the lights stayed on. When I tried to restart it, it turned over but would not start. What could have caused this?

check in the trunk there should be a twist and pull plug, possibly covered by carpet and or paneling.

Sounds like a timing issue. The best thing would be to pull the trouble code from the computer since the check engine light is on. If you do not have access to a code reader then start by checking the timing order and the spark plugs. If these are OK then check the distrubutor cap and rotor. Check the cap for cracks and corrosion. If everything is still good, then you may need a camshaft position sensor if the car has one. If the car is not equiped with the sensor, you may want to find a new or used distributor.

1st off your car doesn't have a carburetor, it is fuel injected and will compensate for any altitude change up to 5,000 feet, here is what u need to do.
Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls at stops and low erratic idle speed and rough idle, it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

well not completely sure but would suggest first giving it a shot of ether in the airbox to see if starts better. to rule out a fuel issue. then ck into distributor. have you ck'd it for spark? is it weak? is it possible the timing belt jumped time?

SOunds like the timing belt has broke. To check you can take off distributor cap and turn over engine and see if the rotor turns. If not you have a busted timing belt. Please rate this a fixya if this helps.Thanks!!!
