Hello, i can seem to get rid off a missfire in my ford explorer 4x4 4.6 v8 from 2002. i changed the plugs and it ran great for about ten minutes, then it started miss firering again. it is even worse on...

If your coils/wires are on the correct cylinders then, with the truck running unplug your alternator if the truck runs smooth then you have a short inside the alternator causing change in electrical current, if this is case replace alternator.

While idling, the engine sputters. check engine light on, reading misfire in cylinder four. Have replaced both coils, all wires, and all plugs. Still no help. I've come to a dead end. Anybody with ideas?.

Hi, this may be a dirty injector. Try putting some injector cleaner in the gas tank to see if that will clear it up. If not, you may need to pull up the fuel rail and check the injector flow pattern.

Hello Need help on a 2004 Ford Explorer. Having problems with Ford explorer rough ideal & missing. Changed plugs & wiring. Used Gas treatment. Change fuel filter & air filter also.

You have an air leak at the intake. Spray a bit of starting fluid around the intake. The engine will respond when you hit the spot. Replace the gaskets as required.
