My father just bought a Toyota 1996 Rav4 but it didn't come with an owners manual. I thought I could download one for him for fathers day and I've just wasted 2hours trying to find it. if you can help that would be fantastic, but if you can't...... I totaly understand.

take the matter directly to Toyota technicians ( bypass the dealer)
if it is a common problem then Toyota will be aware of it and may have a recall or a technical bulletin out on a fix for it
It certainly will not be an owners fault but a design fault

Hi, there is only one relay for all of the windows, so that is not the problem. The likely problem is the switch. I recommend you test the switch using an ohmmeter.
In the case of the door lock, that problem may be a failed lock motor. I recommend you apply power directly to the lock motor to see if it works. If it does, check the switch. If not, replace the motor.

Remote has to be reprogramed. Look in owners for proceedure. If you don't have a manual call the dealer. May have to take vehicle to them to reprogram it with a scantool
