Need torque specs for the dual mass flywheel on a 2009 Nissan Versa 1.8l hatchback

I have been working on cars for over 40 years and ASE certified and have never used torque specs on a pressure plate or Torque convertor I will put a breaker bar and socket on the harmonic balancer bolt on the front of the engine resting it up against the frame you should also use blue Loctite on pressure plate bolts then tighten them up in a star pattern be sure to have alignment tool in in place so the clutch disc is aligned in the center pressure plate the specs for tightening bolts are PFT

Should the torque converter spin freely after you install the engine and you still haven't installed the torque converter bolts

Maybe put the bolts in and try it if installed correctly the converter should be engaged in the Pump of the auto box.
at worst pump drive broken.

I have a 2005 chrysler 300 i replaced the transmission now am hearing a noise underneath sounds like the flywheel

Sounds like you didn't get the torque convertor all the way back into the transmissions gears. Was the flex plate (flywheel) tight against the torque convertor when you bolted it up ? There should have a been a space between the convertor and the flex plate. I made that mistake once and ruined a nearly new transmission.

I have transmission oil leaking between the engine and transmission what could be the cause?

front pump gasket or front pump seal either way tranny will have to come out to rectify and would need to figure out what caused leakage like cracked flywheel causing torque convertor wobble could be loose torque convertor bolts but you should be able to tell that it would cause a rapping noise

How to remove the engine from the torque convertor on a Ford 345C Skip Loader?

When removing an engine from any automatic box the best tip is to remove the bolts holding the torque converter to the flex plate/flywheel and leave the torque converter in position on the shaft in the front of the box. It will move back to the box enough to separate the engine . Turn the engine around to get to each bolt. If the transmission is going to be unsupported then restrain the torque converter with a plate bolted through a flange hole or a strap across the front a note here is that what you call a skip loader may be known as a skid steer loader in which case there will be no torque converter as it hooks directly to a hydraulic pump via a splined shaft.

What is a flywheel on a 94 buick and what problems can it cause if a new one is needed?

The flywheel mounts on the end of the crankshaft and puts all the engine power to the transmission through the torque convertor which is bolted directly to it. If the flywheel is broken, the car isn't going to move very long or very far. It will be harder on gas and there is a good possibility that the engine could easily be over revved which creates a whole new set of expensive problems.

I realize it is a real pain to change but it's not something you can live without. Make sure that you get the proper torque settings for the flywheel to crank bolts. Overtightening has been known to create stress cracks in the flywheel and you get to do it again. Also make sure you don't lose the torque convertor bolts. They are a dealer only item and not cheap. They have an odd thread so they can't be replaced with anything else. Hope this helps.

Can u switch from manual to automatic in a chevy s10

Yes. If your S-10 is 4x4, the trannie has to come from a 4x4 because of the tail shaft. 2wd tail shaft is too long. Get the torque convertor and flywheel for it and make sure you don't over tighten the bolts that hold the flywheel to the crank. If you overtighten them the flywheel will crack and break in the center. They should be torqued at 60 lbs. DON'T lose the torque convertor bolts, they are a special bolt. If you can find an older 700R4 ,the overdrive works off an electric- vacuum switch on the firewall. Grab one at a scrap yard with the wire harness attached and you can splice it in quite easily. The newer trannies will be a little harder to wire in, you'll probably have to get someone to do it for you. If your radiator isn't set up for transmission cooler lines, pick up an aftermarket cooler, you need it.
