I am driving a 2005 Dodge Caravan and the Abs light has come on. What doe sit mean and what should I do?

if the pedal jerks when you are applying the brakes, then the rotors are probably out of round

If you tap the side of the dash do the gauges come back. Is the ABS light on when the gauges quit?

my 2005 caravan had the airbag light come on, and the turn signals were acting wierd! The dearlership said i needed to have the clock spring replaced. I did it cost me $220.00 and the problem is gone! I hope this info helps! let me know

the abs and traction control are the same system generally the sensor gets damaged or the ring gear it reads most newer vehicles the sensor and ring gear are part of the wheel bearing although some are external start by checking the wires and connections if there cut or corroded that can cause a light or if you can see the ring gear check it for cracks an gouges small imperfections will disrupt the signal also just to note a different sized tire can cause a false reading (ie spare or mismatched tires) because the wheels are spining at different speeds but it might be a job for the shop special scan tools aid in the diagnosis hope this helps
