Maybe time for a throttle body cleaning, make sure both the front side and back side are cleaned thoroughly. Also disconnect the battery while doing the cleaning, this will reset the computer and allow it to relearn to the cleaned throttle body.
Do you mean a whining sound? Does the sound change if you turn the wheel to the right or left? If so, it may be a front wheel bearing.

My 2005 GMC Envoy has a high RPM and will take forever to shift gears it will not get passed 70 mph, i have to let go off the gas for it to change gears...any ideas?

Hi, with most vehicle there may be a problem that you can identify, yours may have a few issues. I think you would benefit from a visit to a trans specalist to check the box over then go from there once that issue is sorted or discounted as the cause of problems. Your description appears complex/compound...i.e. there are possibly a few things going on at the same time

2005 GMC Envoy shaking and smells like burnt plastic inside the truck..

STOP USING IT NOW

You need to educate yourself--study OBD 2
Vehicle Systems

We have had check lights for 35 years,no reason
to not know about them or what to do

You do not use any vehicle with a check light or
any dash lights on,they are telling you the vehicle
has system faults, that need to be diagnosed & find
a problem to repair

It shakes,it smells-- but you keep using it,will get
very expensive, if you don't change your ways, when
it comes to motor vehicles

Get it to a dealer or the best local shop you can find

The BEST Shop-- not some highway chain store-- where
you sit for 5 hours & they do little

2005 GMC Envoy 6 cyl. 125,000 miles. Added SeaFoam fuel system cleaner to gas. Now when I slow down, the engine drops RPM to 1000, then drops to 300, jumps back up, sometimes it just dies. Once I hit...

First thing to do is clean the throttle body, make sure to clean both the front side and rear side thoroughly. Also, disconnect the battery while doing the cleaning, this will reset the computer and allow it to relearn to the newly cleaned throttle body.

Bought the envoy w/ 70,000 miles, fresh oil change. @ 74,000 miles it was 1.5 qrts low, put in 5w30, checked oil 2 weeks later it was 1 qrt low. do not see smoke or any leaking.

I just bought a 2005 envoy too. I read in the manual that the 4.6 6 cyl engine needs 7 qts total. 2 Over the normal oil change. Is it possible it wasn't low to start? I noticed when Walmart changed the oil they charged extra for the change because it needed the two extra qts. However my dip stick has oil over the full mark. Seemed strange but I haven't had any leaks and after 3k mile no change in level. Make sure you had the correct about the first time.

WHen the a/c is turn on It bogs the engine down while running.

THE A/C DOES TAKE QUITE A BIT OF HORSEPOWER FROM ENGINE, THAT IS NORMAL AND USUALLY MORE NOTICABLE ON SMALLER ENGINES /BIG VEHICLES
