Hello, if your check engine light is not on & the Colorado does not have a P0506 error code....
Check every connection on the air intake between the MAF sensor and the
throttle body for vacuum leaks...Remove and clean the IAC (idle air control) & the MAF (mass air flow sensor)
Do not use brake cleaner on the MAF sensor, you can purchase MAF sensor cleaner at your local parts store....I hope this helps.
Could be a vacuum leak, and/or the power steering pump....really!
If no vacuum leaks, try this: with engine idling and trans in drive while pressing brake pedal(not park brake), turn the steering wheel either direction like you were turning a corner. If the engine dies, it is most likely the power steering pump.
