Friend has 2001 ford taurus with 3.0l ohv engine he says he was driving and it lost power and just quit after turning the engine it sounded like the timing so we replaced the timing chain and gears, well the timing was fine. ran a compression test and 4/6 cylinders have very little compression, #3 and #4 cylinders r only 2 with a fair amount of compression. after removing the heads it looks as if it was not the head gasket and all the valves seem to be fine, what could be causing the engine to still sound as if it's out of time, tried everything i can think of atm any help would be awsome

Take it to a qualified repair shop , we have no idea what you did all and if it was done correctly ! This is something a professional would need to see , timing marks lined up ?

SOURCE: no compression in one cylinder

Timing belt slipped around cam pulley. Take off your timing belt cover and check the position. This would explain misfiring and compression loss. Stretched belt or missing cogs in belt likely culprit.

SOURCE: Coolant overflowing out of expansion tank no boil no steam

As you've stated driving around town it's fine, and everything is working well. For the symptoms, there are 2 possible causes:
1. Your cooling fans are not working.
2. Your radiator needs to be replaced.
I'm sure you can determine which it is, and I wish you luck on your repair.

On a 2001 ford taurus we are trying to change the ac compressor how do we remove it

3.0 OHV engine?

You'll need to remove the power steering pump. Once the pump is out of the way you'll be able to pull the compressor out the top.
