The abs light on my nissan wingroad 2004 model is constantly staying on the dash board. Also, the speedometer is not working and when I mash a sudden brakes the car swerves at the back.

Hi, This means your ABS is not working at all, first check out your fuses before anything else, next bleed the ABS system or even the brakes as this means air has got into the system! Check any leaking brake fluid from pressure hoses. Please leave me feedback thanks, Malcolm Campbell.

SOURCE: help

It means there is a fault in the brakes/anti lock braking system. This should be immediately seen to by a mechanic. It may be best to have a mobile mechanic come, or to tow it to a service centre (might not be best to drive)

check the fuses for the rear tail lights, check the lights, make sure they are not burnt out. (abs cable is probably not the problem, but have it changed so you know that there isn't one)

SOURCE: erratic speedometer with ABS and brakelight lit

same problem here, found 3 places that say it is the abs sensor:

Had this problem with my 1999 Ram 1500. There is a sensor at the top of the rear differential for the ABS system. That sensor went bad and replacing it took care of the problem. What caused mine to go bad was apperantly water got into the differential when launching and loading my boat. check to see if gear lube needs to be replaced also.
The answer above is perfectly correct. When the ABS sensor on the diff goes bad the speedo no longer will work, the odometer stops recording mileage and both brake and ABS light comes on. You also loose O/D or "Lock-up" in the torque converter. The sensor is inexpensive and can be changed in about 30 mins. Good Luck!

The fix for your truck is the ABS speed sensor located in the top of the differential housing , held in with one stud . Your speedometer is calculated through the ABS controller. Replacing that sensor will fix your problem.

Is this a Volvo car by any chance? You need to replace the ABS computer that is located near the master brake cylinder. It's a black box. Probably same problem on multiple vehicles.

Sounds like your charging system (Alternator) may be failing. Take it to an auto parts store and have a charging system load test performed.

Let us know results.

The Abs lights in the Nissan Wingroad is on, how to turn it off? also the speedo metre is not working. will it be related?

you need to have faults read. you need a scanner to read codes and any good parts store or shop can scan and tell you what needs to be repaired or what triggered fault. Once fault is fixed they cabn reset lights for you.

does your model have abs, is the abs light on
test the the system. do this by turning on all the lights have everything on and drive and look at the speedo to see if it jumps of moves. this can indicate the speedo board is damaged.. does you model have a sun roof, this is because when the sunroof is open it tells the ecu and compensates for the roof being open. this can also add to the turning on the lights etc to test. do these and get back to this question.

The speedometer on my 350z stopped Working

See if there are codes stored, pull them and start from there.

It may just be a bad vehicle speed sender to the speedometer.
