The pulsation is normal and caused by the antilock brake system, any time the brakes are applied rapidly the abs will kick in and you will feel pulsations in the pedal.
Ok, I was giving an answer based on your statement "I'm having problems with the feeling of a spring or a cable pulsating and catching in the brake pedal when braking" That was the first thought I had, sorry it wasn't what you were looking for
I'll try this again, The brake pedal FEELS like it is attached to a unraveled braided cable about to break with every little pressure to the pedal. Also at times it FEELS like this cable is catching on something. Even though there is no cable in the brake assembly this is the best way to explain it. This feeling of the cable about to break can be felt under your foot. And the lost of stopping is troubling. Does not seem to make any difference if breaking fast, hard, slow, or soft. Thanks

This is not the abs system. this problem is under normal braking. I know the difference.
