So driving down the road my transmission just quit working completely, no forward, no reverse, it was just like it was in neutral, fluid level fine and bright red, and my turn signals and 4 ways also stopped working at the same time. So I took it to a transmission repair shop they said no codes found and that the transmission needs rebuilt $1800.00$ is there anything anyone else can think of? Just seems odd that all these things would quit working at once.

I would solve the electrical issues, before I would let anyone
pull the transaxle out

A trans shop is not the place to be for that

I used to own one

They will rebuild the trans & you will still have
the other problems & they won't have anyone
that can help

My 92 dodge caravan won't go in any forward gear but park, reverse and neutral warm fine

If engine RPM goes up when you try to go forward but vehicle won't move the forward gears is not engaging in transmission. Could be caused by several things. Check transmission fluid both level and condition mostly condition. Get a white paper towel whip dipstick on paper towel and look for any gray in fluid if transmission fluid is gray you have metal shavings in fluid. Most likely need a new or rebuilt transmission.

2007 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 Diesel, transmission went into neutral while driving.

Check transmission fluid level if low on fluid it will suck air and transmission forward clutch can not apply. If fluid is full and clean looking RED in color shift control solenoids are the problem and internal. BROWN and BLACK fluid indicates the forward clutch was slipping and now has no holding power for movement. this case the transmission needs reconditioning.

Transmission problem

Check the fluid level & colour, if it's low or burnt it will cause problems, it may also be the seals which will require transmission removal & overhaul

I have a 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada auto trans drive works fine but no reverse

Are you sure you have all 4 forward gears? Most of the time a no reverse condition also means 1st and 3rd only.No 2nd or 4th.If you dont have all the forward gears as i suspect , the reaction shell is stripped or broken. If you do have all the forward gears then these are the two most common reasons you do not have reverse.1 reverse input clutches are damaged or burnt 2 forward cltches have slipped to the point they are welded together causing a mechanical bind in reverse and also causing the transmission to pull forward in neutral.Let me know if i can help.Good Luck.

When driving at 60mph this 99 windstar quite moving. No forward or reverse. Is this the neutral safety or a sensor?

Assuming the engine runs, this sounds like a transmission problem. Check your transmission fluid to make sure it is at the proper level and doesn't have a burned smell. If all is well, you will probably need to have an experienced transmission mechanic look at it for you. Good luck!

Check you transmission fluid level and if it's not your transmission, I'm thinking that your brake shoe lineing in the rear brakes may have separated and is jamming up aginst the drums when your trying to back up. Sorry can't halp you with any more, good luck and start with that and hope it help's.
