Check for a sized engine. And a engine compression test will help pinpoint the problem . Call a mobile mechanic would also help. Thanks
Probably a crankshaft position sensor problem. Is the check engine light on, and if not, does it EVER come on? People sometimes do remove trouble lights to sell troubled vehicles!
SOURCE: I purchased an 06 STS
You should return the car to the dealer you bought it from
& let them solve the problems
Sounds as though it had issues & they just washed it & sold
it to you
You need to go through the entire car checking & working on
almost everything, when ever you buy a used car
At least diagnose what ever the current problems are
Can't use it like that
You can be told all kinds of things & waste your time adding
products that do nothing if you like
