TROUBLESHOOTING 2002 FORD TAURUS FOR A DIAGRAM I CAN DOWNLOAD FOR THE DASH IGNITION ,STEERING COLUMN, GOLVE BOX, AND ALL MISC INCLUDED

Sure. I will try to help. The car won't start because the factory installed security feature will immobilize key components of the ignition or fuel or both systems to prevent theft. Best thing you could do is have the ford boys check that antenna ring thing, and get the system up and running. You asked for a diagram of everything under the dash. Believe me, you don't want to go there, even if such a diagram existed. Too much extraneous! What would help you is a wiring diagram from a repair manual for your Taurus. Then you could identify by the color of the wires what that circuit board piece is. It may be part of the security controls, may be the main module, or it may be something entirely different. If you can disconnect it easily, you could take it to the parts place at a ford dealership to identify it from a part number. Or if can locate a part number, write it down and take it to them.
Keep researching for what you need. Looks like your choices are pay ford's outrageous repair prices, or keep trying to fix it yourself (then do buy the repair manual for the wiring diagrams, and for the recommended procedure to replace the heater core), or find the site where some have published how to disable the alarm or security systems. Just google it, there are some sites. Good luck.

Headlight bulb replacement

Surprisingly, your owners manual is one of the best sources for information on headlight replacement and taillight replacement. I learned this a few years ago myself, it's the only repair instruction they put in a automobile owners manual.

I have a 1996 lincoln towncar signature series. my air conditioner is not working at all. had the compressor and the condenser replace last year twice. the second time the repair man told me that my car to...

Get a new car,a lincoln ?

Do you have $60,000 in disposible cash?

The reason it was done twice, is that you
need a new compressor,not a reman

I don't like that myself, but we all learn the
hard way.

Your condenser was just old, corroded &
banged up from road debris,so no big deal

Fix it I guess. Not for another $1,300

Our 07 Acadia has power liftgate. It works fine with the keyfob or the switch on the dash, but it will not open using the outside handle on the liftgate. Do we just need to replace the liftgate release...

it sounds like the handle release switch is bad.you could replace it your self as long as you have alot of patience and don`t bend things to do the job.if not then check for a price at a repair shop if you don`t want to go to the dealer.

My 2001 Ford Ranger has no instrument panel lights or running lights. I turn on the headlight switch and there is nothing. I have headlights and breaklights, but no running lights or instrument cluster. ...

Hi, I am an ASE certified auto repair technician with 35 years experience, specializing in diagnostics. If my answer helped you a positive testimonial is appreciated, good luck with your problem.

It is pretty common for this problem to be a bad headlight switch. I would advise testing the switch before replacing it. That being said I would give it a 90% plus chance of being a bad headlight switch. If you want to test it yourself I would recommend getting a good repair manual at a major auto parts store. This will have a wiring diagram in it and will allow you to test the switch ones it is removed.

Did you have an accident with this vehicle shortly before this happened ?
I have had this problem after my car was repaired by a body shop. One door latch was replaced by the VW dealer which solved the alarm problem but the battery still drained. Now they are saying it is the comfort control module.

2003 saturn ion will not start somtimes

The security interlock on the ignition switch goes bad. The ignition switch needs replaced. (about $35 from the dealer) It takes about 30 minutes to replace and another 30 minutes to "learn" your key. The car locks out for 10 minutes when it fails so if you look in th emanual there is a procedure to override the lockout but it won't work for 10 minutes. Google the problem there are procedures for the switch replacement and learning the key with the new ignition switch.
