SOURCE: Gauges go crazy while driving

Sounds like a faulty body control module, or the forward control module. Possibly the cluster is going bad. Is it still under warranty? Take it to the dealer, which you may have to do anyway.

SOURCE: 1997 Cirrus battery went dead. The car ran fine

These cars are known for having engine related electrical problems that can be difficult to track down. One dead sensor is sufficient to prevent start up .

It is possible that your problem had nothing to do with the jump start or battery replacement.

Without a full diagnosis anyone not able to test the vehicle will be guessing.

One thing I would do is to check your fuse panels for all engine related fuses such as fuel pump, ignition and fuel injection to ensure these fuses are sound.
Check all visible wiring carefully including your battery connections. Carefully disconnect and then re-connect the battery at both terminals.

Your best option is to have the car towed to a reputable repairer that is familiar with these cars so he can run a full check and isolate the problem.

Whether you have blown something in the course of jump starting the car is unknown.

In future, when jump starting these older vehicles always turn the headlights on and do not turn them off again whilst the vehicle is running until after the spare battery used for the jump start has been fully disconnected. Everything else should be off.

My newly purchased 2012 Chevy Express 2500 basic cargo van beeps when I go over 75mph. It is very basic, no power windows, cruise control, CD player, etc. how do I disable the beep.

Hi Mike...
the beep i,m going to assume it is a tattle tail warning beep that your speed is exceeding the max.highest legal road speed posted... short of traveling on the german uttabond express...
as for the "BEEP BOX"....mounted under the dash i would think, you can disconnect the wire connector to the "beep box" Warning; you are disconnecting a factory safety device !!! <:0}.... Good luck !!!

What does the MIL code "PO 320" mean, please?

code p0320 refers to cam shaft position (CKP) sensor/engine speed (RPM) sensor--circuit malfunction=== causes --wiring--CKP/RPM sensor ---ECM
because the engine runs ok until it is on cruise control I would be investigating the RPM sensor for a fault
The cruise control takes its control from the RPM sensor and if that circuit is interminable the the cruise control doesn't know what rpms to maintain.

Car jerks on freeway and engine shuts off.

It sounds like your Mass Air Flow Sensor is faulty. These sensors will normal show fault when cruising at highway speeds causing the vehicle to almost stall or stall. Replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with a known good one and test drive the vehicle. This will most likely repair your concern.

Stalls at low speed when in cruise control

You sould have recieved a "recall" notice in the mail about the cruise control for fire and failure issues. they are adding a fusable link where the cruise control harness connects to the brake master cylinder. if you have not had the recall performed yet you should SERIOUSLY consider getting it done, mainly so it doesnt catch fire, but "could" be the result of the failure you've been experiancing! btw, almost ALL Ford vehicles have been affected with the cruise control recall. hope this helps!

Cruise control will not 'set' on '05 kia sportage

Check the brake lighf bulbs. If even one is burnt out, it throws the sensors.
Had the same problem replaced both bulbs and now the esp light stays off and the cruise control sets.
