2005 VW jetta. The clock is stuck at 1:35 and won't move. The lights on shift controller for park, neutral, reverse, drive is off, and the mileage won't move. it is stuck.

(glow plug light blinking) I have had this problem also and it was after i changed my timing belt it was because the timing was to far advanced i adjusted to timing with the vag com and pump cam and it solved the problem hope this helps

that is a TSB you may have a bad valve body, olso this condition may turn malfunction ligth on, or if you remove the air intake pipe
on trans there is a conector that go to trans valve body some time come lose pluged back an reset PCM if don't fixed will be the trans valve body

Check your trans fluid after letting the car run for around 10 minutes or so. Leave the engine running when checking fluid level. If it is low add a little at the time if it is high you are going to need to remove some fluid you can do this with a small sy-fin down the dip stick. Also inspect the fluid and smell it also. If it smells burnt and is brownish or black looking I am sorry to say it may be time to start looking for a new or rebuilt transmission. Good Luck. I hope it is something to do withthe fluid. I just had this problem as well... thank god I had a handy AAA guy to my rescue, who used a flat head screwdriver in the ignition to get it to turn a bit, which caused the white lock I could see (that holds the key in while driving) to release... and then I could insert the key... Though I notice this is now becoming a reoccuring issue... so I think the ignition needs replacing...
