4 cyl. Auto trans. in limp mode. takin the shift solenoid out to re build it i fnd ripped wires. My question may seem should i re connect the first or cont with the shift solenoi

Unfortunately, you should have gotten the diagnostic codes for the transmission before messing with the shift solenoid. Most of those dodge shift issues are caused by input and output speed sensors.

Speedometer behaves erratically (needles shoots down to 0) and forces transmission into limp in mode while driving.

the output speed sensor is going bad,or may have a broken wire on the connector.repair r the wire if so,or replace the sensor.Transmission goes into limp mode to protect it'self, and engine, from internal damage. repair this, and you should be good

Po715 automatic transmission most of the time it don't want to go to the other gears stays in first gear

This is cause by three things. 1. Low fluid causing difficult shifting. 2. Bad electronics in the 1,2, shift circuit. Or the transmission is in limp mode. The transmission can go into limp mode for several reasons. Try removing the gas cap, sometimes the evap system will cause issues. Also get the car to normal operating temperature and check the trans fluid, add as necessary, do not overfill.

Can I replace the transmission solonoid on a 98 Town and Country Van without resetting the computer?

It depends. Are there codes in the computer now? Has it bee reset since you replaced the input speed sensor? If the codes are still in there, the transmission may still be in limp-in mode.

Your transmission is computer controlled. Trying to diagnose or repair it without the ability to interface with the computer that controls it about the same as surfing the internet with no monitor. If you push the right buttons and click your mouse just right, you might get to the page you are looking for (not likely, but possible). However, when you do get there, you still won't know it....

My dodge caravan 3.3L shows 5 malfunction codes what do they mean po455 po846 po500 po700 po732

P0455 = Evap leak monitor large leak detected.
This code usually means the gas cap may have been loose or needs the rubber gasket.

P0500 = No vehicle speed sensor signal.
Vehicle speed sensor is located on the transmission near one of the axle shafts (it may need replacing).

P0700 = EATX controller DTC present.
This simply means you have transmission related codes.

P0732 = Gear ratio error in 2nd gear.
This code is of some concern, it means the transmission is slipping in 2nd gear. However the trans may be in limp mode due to the speed sensor code (limp mode means the trans starts out in second gear in order to at least get to a mechanic). The first thing I would do is have these codes cleared as there may be absolutely nothing wrong with the transmission (especially if you pull the trans dip stick and the fluid does not have a burnt smell. The vehicle should drive normally after that. If the check engine light comes back, have the codes scanned ASAP (before any other unrelated code sets). Chances are it may be the output speed sensor if this happens (easy fix). Hope this helps

My 91 dodge stealth is in limp mode how do i fix this transmission problem

Your car is in "limp"mode because the computer doesn't know what speed your doing,So it doesn't shift,
There are three possible reasons for this,
#1= input sensor faulty on transmission,
#2=output sensor faulty on transmission,
#3=speed sensor faulty on transmission,
you need to have the transmission codes read to know which one,Autozone checks codes for free.
