I have a 2004 Saturn Vue, about 2 weeks ago, my low coolant light came on. I topped off my coolant up to the recommended levels; however, my low coolant light never went off. Also around the same time my A/C stopped working properly. It would blow cold for a while and once i shut the car off and turned the A/C back on, the A/C would not work. Or the A/C would be working and if I leave the A/C on with the car parked, after about 15 minutes the A/C would stop working. Could my low coolant light have an effect on my A/C not working properly. Also, I had my compressor and Freon checked, and they both checked out good, what could be the problem?

Sorry no idea offhand without a look ,but i suspect that your dash assembly is faulty ,what or how i cannot help but ask at the dealer in case its a fault with the model .

I would try another place to have it tested. Make sure the oil and coolant are good.

Put in 4 quarts, start engine, run for 1 minute, let set for 2 minutes, check oil level with dipstick.

LOW LEVEL COOLANT SENSOR BAD OR EITHER WIRE CONNECTOR TO SENSOR IS LOOSE OR HAS A SHORT IN IT.

there is one fuse that controls both the dash lghs and tail lights
look in your owners manual for the correct fuse location

Take your Vue to a local parts store like AutoZone and they will read the codes for free and will also recommend what may fixit.

Saturn vue 2004 what is aECt connector and lines?

The ECT is the "Engine Coolant Temperature". There should be 2 sensors on the engine, one for the ecm (engine computer) and another one for the temp gauge on the dash. I dont have the info to tell you where they are, but near the thermostat housing and the cyl head is the logical place.

Red light on dashboard looks like a square with water inside

This is a low coolant light, you need to have the coolant checked and topped off..also have the water pump checked, as they are made to purposely leak when the impeller inside of them is going bad.

The low coolant sensor uses the coolant to close the circuit, if the coolant if full you could have a problem in the wiring.
Some cars will cut power to the A/C if the coolant is low, the A/C system add heat to the system. Repair the coolant sensor problem and the A/C problem should go away.
