Our 2004 Kia Sedona has load noise coming from front driver side, had it to a shop a month ago and thought it might have a bad bearing but they said that was fine. There is no wobble or anything in the steering, several years ago the spindle was replaced and the bearings have been replaced several times.

SOURCE: how to check front bearings on 2000 kia sportage

hi there, there are two ways to check your bearings, 1, is to jack up the vehicle so the wheel is free of the ground and to check for any play or roughness in the bearing by spinning the wheel, if the bearing is worn then you will hear a droning noise, 2 is to drive along a quiet road, at a speed where you can hear the noise, gently turn the steering from left to right so the vehile load is being shifted from one side to the other, if you have a wheel bearing fault the noise's pitch will alter, hope this helps

SOURCE: roaring noise when speed gets about 50mph

wheel bearings usually dont go at once, they progress. i would say to do it as soon as can so as not to risk ruining other parts like the wheel hub which is pressed into the bearing to support the wheel. approx. cost is $150 for bearing and about 1.5 hrs to complete. (all dependant on shop)

My 2004 kia optima driver side front make a roaring noise while its rolling

Sounds like you have a wheel bearing problem. Jack up the front end so wheels are off the ground. put your hand on the spring on the strut then turn the wheel with the other hand. If the bearing is bad you will feel the vibration/rough spot in the spring. Noise will get louder or diminish when you peed up or slow down.

I have a 2005 kia sedona lx and there is a howling sound on the front passender side. sounds like over size tires on it

if it only makes noise when the van is moving it might be a bad hub bearing. if it makes noise when its not moving and when its moving it could be a bad pulley bearing on the engine.

We have a 2004 Kia Optima. There is rattling noise at the front driver side. The noise volume increases at higher speeds.

This could be one of several things. My first thought is your brake pads are loose. They are usually retained in place by clips, springs or friction fit. Applying the brakes usually makes the noise go away. It could also be the hub bearing or one of the c.v. joints. Turn your wheel hard to the left or right while applying slight acceleration. If you hear popping or snapping, You have a bad c.v. Also check for loose parts such as the dust shield or the inner fender well!

2004 Kias Sedona. I have the replaced the Front Wheel Bearing (Passenger Side) 4 Times in the last 6 months. The last one lasted 2 Days. It was sluggish going uphill, jerking, and then there was a loud...

My guess is the original shim that came with the factory bearing and hub assembly was discarded and never installed on the new bearing (That does not come with a shim) causing the new bearing to fail.

most likely a wheel bearing. to determine which one, lift up the car so wheels are in the air. grab onto the strut spring, and spin the wheel. You should fell roughness in your hand on the wheel that is bad, the good wheel will fell smooth.
