Those components have no affect on starting. Something might have been disconnected or damaged during the replacement. Apply standard no-start troubleshooting steps--check for spark, fuel, etc...
Do It Yourself Diagnosis and Repair
You probably need to do a throttle body relearn procedure. I'm pretty sure that requires a scan tools

That sounds about right, the idle speed may not even be manually settable due to emissions regulations.
I know for sure you can't adjust the idle mixture anymore; that is determined by sensors and the on-board computer.
There may still be adjustments on some cars but they are often sealed with lead to avoid tinkering.

long dead of truckbackupitis, the hood release was a plate in the left footwell wall about 4inch forward of the drivers door, it does not look like a handle, just like a cover plate
