Sticky high acceleration 1995 LE V6 camry I have a 1995 LE V6 camry with the 3.0 litre engine. Car starts and idles normally but after driving any distance idle rpm sticks up between 2000-3000 when you let off gas. this is especially noticable when you try to brake and car rpm drops but is obviously trying to slow down motor. Shifting into neutral shows rpm jumping up to 2200. Lifted hood and it appears that throttle is being held partially open but touching it spriings it back to low idle immediately. Acc cable does not appear tight . Is there some other mechanism holding the throttle partially open or is this some common problem?

The spring that returns the throttle is getting weak. Best thing to do is clean the throttle inside and out. Clean the throttle plate front and back and as for as you reach inside, use an old tooth brush and brake clean. Once clean lube the spring area. This should help. But if it still sticks , I would be looking at the throttle cable.

Its a 115000 btu multi fuel.it starts up,runs a few seconds,then shuts off.it doesnt smoke or anything wierd,it just shuts off.

It can be low fuel pressure issue or clogged fuel pump. Or its engine related issues,---------------

I have camry le 2002 recently i notice every morning when the engine is cold i have slow shifting. when put to drive it takes effort by accerelating for 4 mins b4 it picks up and drive normal after about 3...

Sounds much like ****** pump/Tork converter leak down, have you checked the ****** fluid level and condition? better have it checked before you get stuck in traffic.

Toyota Camry idles then dies

It is NORMAL for the engine computer to have to "Relearn" how to idle the engine after a battery replacement. This should only be temporary and will go away after a few trips.

If it does not go away, or if the Check Engine light is coming on, it will require diagnosis to determine the cause. Nobody can tell you if the problem is related to your recent work until the cause of the problem is located.

Poor idling and stalling on deceleration can be caused by anything from a bad Idle Speed Control motor (ISC)
to low fuel pressure (Clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump) to a bad connection in the A/C clutch sensing circuit. (Kicks the idle up when the A/C compressor is running)

1992 toyota camry v6 le boggs down on acceleration

It sounds like you may have a vacuum leak. Your car should normally idle at about 700-750 RPM. You said that yours was at about 1000-1500, that is waaay to high. If you have a leak somewhere in the system the car will draw in extra air and it will want to idle much higher and will also be very erratic and hard to drive.

Because the fuse is missing and hard to find I would look to see if someone by-passed the fuse and that be the problem. It should be fused.

Does the engine run properly when you drive it? Does it accelerate normally, or does it hesitate & ****? If it runs poor, it may be the wires crossed. If it just stalls at idle, you may have a bad Idle Air Control (IAC) valve, or a partially stuck open EGR valve.
