There is a motor that controls the blend door for the driver's side, that may be faulty, or you may have a stuck or broked dr side blend door. You can access this part by removing the dr side underdash panel, and the dr side knee bolster.

On a 2004 chevy venture where is the door that changes you inside air flow from heat hot air to ac cold air in the hvac systerm

There is a small motor called an actuator that moves the paddles in the heater to direct the heat or ac. If this motor does not run and switch the paddles then you will not get the heat or ac you want. The actuator motor is on the side on the heater normally in the center or on the end by the drivers feet.

Ac is not blowing out cold air. You have to put gages on the system and it shows its has freon.Checked all fuses and relays. The two fans in engingine compartment do not come on when the ac is turned on but does when the engine gets hot. The compressor engages when turned on also.
If the magnetic clutch engages the compressor and still no cold air could be still low in freon or the HVAC unit.

Blower motor not working all the time...if I bang the dash near the glove box, it comes on then works great. Is this the switch assembly, the resistor problem, or should I be replacing the blower motor?

Gets hot on passenger side stays cold on drivers side on 2004 chevy impala

Possible that the vent is blocked if you meant that the car is not cooling with the AC. If so check the flow of air on the vent , remove and clean the vent.
However if there is heat coming in to the passenger side then the engine room insulation can be open or there is a possible leak from the engine room that allows hot air to flow into the passenger side than the driver side.
I hope this was what you meant, if not clarify once again.

Heater only works on passenger side.

there is a motor actuator that moves these doors for hot and cold, two separate ones for either side. the motor unit for drivers side is no good and needs new one. replace this and all will be good.
