Find the top radiator hose and follow it to the engine.
The hose should connect to the top area of the engine to what looks like an "elbow" with two bolts on each side. This "elbow" is the thermostat housing.
When these two bolts are removed...housing can be removed and thermostat is right there.

Hope this helps...

My 1997 mercuery villinger is losing water somewere and the front windshield is getting steamy but the tempture gauge is not going up could it be my water pump

it could be the pump, it could also mean you have leaking hose or hose connection, it could also indicate you have stuck thermostat.

AT worst it could mean a head gasket of the engine is burst and coolant is getting into the piston areas.

Suggest you find problem before you damage engine! $$$$$

No heat in my villager

you have air trapped in the engine. very common. park van uphill, fill radiator & reservoir, turn on heater, leave cap loose. wait for engine to warm up to burp air.
