Go to a near autozone/o reilly and ask them to hook up the scanner to your car's computer and clear the code. You can also try disconnecting the battery for about 15mins and connecting it back again (all your settings in you stereo or trip computer could be reset). This will reset the computer and erase the code and the computer is going have to learn everything again. If after trying any of these option and driving the car for a while the code comes back it will required further inspection.

2008 Nissan Sentra. The check engine light keeps coming back on!

Sensors come in different qualities and pricings. Some cheap ones made in Mexico fail in a few days. Always buy OEM quality sensors.

Your code is incorrect fuel mixture, sensor says running lean so it is dumping extra fuel.

Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1

The code is thrown when the oxygen sensors detect that there's not enough oxygen in the exhaust system. This is commonly referred to as a "lean" condition.
The vehicle's ECM will add more fuel to the mixture in order to bring the air fuel mixture where it needs to be for optimal combustion. It also throws the code P0171 to let you know that it has done this.

Here are the typical symptoms that something is wrong when you have code P0171.

  • Mileage- may or may not suffer depending on how much the air fuel mixture has changed.
  • Misfire- If the air fuel mixture has gotten too far from factory specs, this can cause the Sentra to misfire.
  • Idle Issues- With the air/fuel mixture altered, the vehicle can idle erratically as the computer compensates to keep the engine running.

My 2001 Nissan sentra 2.0 check light that the code is p0464 which is fuel level sensor which I had replaced already. Not sure why it keep returning?

Well code 464 means the fuel sending unit is not sending a signal to the computer from time to time. It is not a constant problem.
My guess would be there is a problem with the wiring between the tank and the computer.

My 2002 nissan sentra check engine light flashes

The check engine light flashes is because all check engine light codes are caused by components that affect emissions. It's not actually an engine problem, it's a problem with either your O2 sensor, MAF sensor, fuel/air ratio, pyrometer, or exhaust.

2002 Nissan sentra engine light on and rpm needle bounces

I have the same car and had the check engine light come on for me as well.

Mine was because I put an after market cold air intake system and I took care of my filter by cleaning and replacing it when needed. If you have this or an a filter like a K&M air filter that has a bit of oil on it will coat on the O2 sensors and will eventually interfere with your O2 sensors giving your computer the wrong information like mine did and my revs went up as well. So I had to clean my 02 sensors and and reset my computer it fixes the problem or replacing the 02 sensors will of course work too but not needed. About 3-4 years then the check engine light came back on again and I went back to my normal stocked air intake and a regular filter and no more problems. I left my exhaust header on and I still have lots of power and fuel milage, so the cold air intake didn't icrease much power or fule milage... just a tad.

Hope this helps you a little.

Car dies while driving

I think that your crank angle sensor failed. Is the check engine light on?? if so, scan it and get code. If the code is P0335, than you need new crank angle sensor. Nissan has been having some problems with those even on other Nissan products. (Altima, Pathfinder and so on) Good luck.
