SOURCE: need the spark plug cable order for2000honda accord lx 4cylinder

The firing order is; 1-3-4-2 and the rotor moves in a counterclockwise direction. Turn the crank shaft and set the engine at TDC (top dead centre). This ill set the rotor arm pointing at No1 cylinder. From this point you can replace the HT leads in the above order.

Installing Spark plug wires

Unless the wires were removed the firing order cannot change as also the length of the wires do not permit that the wires switch over.
All what is needed is to check the spark at each plug , if of low internsity check the ignition system including the HT coil. Also the fuel filter and the fuel pump for the right pressure.

I changed the plugs and the car started skipping so i changed the plug wires and at first it didn't skip now it is, im thinking i either got the firing order wrong or the feul filter needs changing

If the car ran fine before you made repairs, then I would also assume that you have a plug wire on the wrong plug. If you cant locate the firing order, let me know, will be glad to send it to you.

Exact spark plug wire placement

Turn the crankshaft till the timing mark is at 0...Check where the rotor points...if towards the back of the engine, turn one more time till it points to front. It is now at #1 on cap. Plugs are 1357 on left bank, 2468 on right. order is 18436572 in that order around cap in the direction the rotor turns when cranking.

Plug wires

First we would need to know what size engine you have and what year your car is for sure. Most coil packs are numbered according to which cylinder they go to. You then need to know the cylinder numbers for your engine size. From there it is just a matter of connecting the dots. If you have a 5.7 liter engine with a distributor on 97 and earlier engines you will need to see the cylinder number diagram to know which plug wire connects to each pin on the distributor.

Good Luck
