It is between the throttle body and the air filter housing.

I have a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder with a 4 g64 automatic engine. My car is throwing a MAF engine code but I have replace the MAF and several sensors on the engine. The b o d 2 is saying that my fuel...

the code for the MAF sensor is also the same code for the VAF and BARO sensors all of which cause problems
Lean or rich mixtures are determined by the heated oxygen sensors in the exhaust manifolds before the cat converters rough running can be from fuel pressures problems and blocked exhaust cat converter
Other problems affecting the HO2S can be a cracked flex section in the exhaust connected to the manifold and bad EGR valve system

2000 jeep grand cherokee 4.0 rough idle,

This what I think is happening. Your engine is running rich because the ECM thinks it has too much air and so injects more fuel. When you now introduce air, by taking th e vacuum line off, the fuel mixture is now more balanced. Have you cleaned your MAF sensor? Also make sure your engine coolant is full.

I have a 2003 suburban that was working fine until today. I drove it to the store with no problem then upon leaving I started it and it was very rough at idle. when I put it in gear it died. I continued...

Find out why the check engine light is on. The first couple of things that pop into my mind is low fuel pressure or a bad or dirty MAF sensor. You will need a fuel pressure gauge to check fuel pressure. I can get you the spec if you need it. You can also try unplugging the MAF sensor and see if it will start/idle. If it does take it for w drive. If performance is improved check the MAF to see if it is dirty. It can be cleaned with MAF sensor cleaner available at your local auto parts store.

P0068 on a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT. Rough "hunting" for idle. Momentary lag/loss of power from a stop. Random RPM changes while at a constant speed. Sometimes it feels like it drops out of gear...

P0068 Symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Lack/Loss of power
- Engine rough idle Possible causes - Large vacuum leak
- Leaking air duct system
- Mass Air Flow (MAF) poor electrcial connection
- Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) poor electrcial connection
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
- Faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor
- TP sensor not seated properly.
- Faulty Throttle Position (TP) sensor.
- Dirty throttle body
When is the code detected? The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors operation rationality check by comparing sensed throttle position to mass air flow readings
P0068 DODGE Description The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors a vehicle operation rationality check by comparing Throttle Position (TP) to Mass Air Flow (MAF) readings. If, during a self-test, the comparison of the TP sensor and MAF sensor readings are not consistent with the calibrated load values, the test fails and a diagnostic trouble code is stored in continuous memory.

Code p1128 weak mixture lose power on inclines engine light on melts spark plugs vehicle hyundia accent 2001

Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #..
you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals,
service bulletins, illustrations, etc. To diagnose a 2000 or 2001 1.5L Accent Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1128 (FUEL SYSTEM LEAN -- PART LOAD), check the following:
  • Check the intake system for air leaks.
  • Check that the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor (P/N 28164-22610) operation meets the specifications listed below. If the MAF sensor output is significantly lower than the reference value (10% or more), then replace the MAF sensor.

My toledo v5 has a jumpy idle ive changed maf sensor cleaned throttle body changed engine temp sender still no luck jumps between 600-1200 rpm on idle never stalls thanks for any help

Do you perhaps have a small exhaust leak? Check ahead of the O2 sensor. If the exhaust can **** fresh air in it can't give the computer an accurate reading and the engine will rev up and down at idle. Hope this helps.

Ngine over fueling at all rpm, rough idle, heavy fuel consumption

if the car is stock i would replace your oxygen sensor. you may also need to clean out the MAF sensor.

Idles rough, foot to the floor barely moves, 10mph tops maybe 20,

Sounds like you need a coolant temp sensor. You want the one that reads the computer, not the gauge. This is a common problem on these trucks.

Maf?/ missfiring

have the map sensor checked to see if it is within range you say you have codes maf make sure all clamped duct work is tight and not loose clamps .iac motor clean bore if the pintle gets stuck will cause rough idle hesitation even no start conditions scan tools only test the idle air control valve motor not the bore that extends to block varnish gets built up on the pintle and in the bore wich binds the in and out operation
