1994 BMW 740i with 222,000 turns over but won't start. Removed battery, had it tested and it's good; radio, lights, windows all working fine. Driving the car on Friday, went to start it on Saturday, won't start.

Hi.

If it does turn over and electrical works, then the problem is unlikely the battery. You can try jump starting. If it cranks when jump-starting it may be a weak battery, starter motor or alternator, but I don't think that this is the problem.

Check if there is spark on all cylinders. Do a code scanning (this car is OBD1, you will need to do the scan at the dealer place or to find a BMW OBD1 tool- Universal OBD2 scanner will not work on a 1994 BMW). If the codes return misfire or mixture related errors check fuel pressure, check sensors and parts that determine the mixture (MAF/MAP, AIT, O2 sensors, IAC and EGR system), check the vacuum system for leaks and check the crank sensor.

Regards.

My asb light comes on when starting and stays on. Lights won't come on , power locks won't work, power windows won't work, radio won't work. All fuses are good and car runs fine.

Those are all really common symptoms of the alternator going bad on those cars. I would have it checked to make sure it's charging properly.

Truck won't start

If the engine will not crank, it could be the starter, the neutral safety switch, or a bad connection.
A mechanic would check the starter circuit back to the key switch.

Just finished driving car, tried to start it back up and nothing happens. Radio works fine, lights come up but car won't start.

if starter is not engaging or clicks then have battery load tested. if battery checks good then test the voltage draw on the starter, may be dragging when it gets hot.

I changed the key batteries for my 1999 BMW 323i after they died. Afterwards the remote unlock and lock won't work, the car also won't start but it can turn over/on and the radio and the lights...

stick the key in the ignition, turn it to the on position, remove it within 5 seconds, then hold the unlock button down and press the lock button 3 times within 10 seconds and release both buttons. The doors should lock/unlock to give you confirmation and your key should work.

My 1994 BMW 325i sedan dont want to start!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check Your Battery, o perhaps You have a power leak, The way to do that is, with the car off key out take one of the battery terminals off than on the battery nipple connection put the end of a test light, and on the terminal that You have remove the other end of the test light, if light comes on You have a power leak, to find in which circuit leaks live test light connected to both, battery and removed terminal start taking fuses on and off till lights on test light goes off, and when that happen, that's the fuse where the power leak is located

2002 BMW 740i will not start

Take your battery to the parts store and have them test it. If its an original replace it anyways batteries only have a 5 to 7 year life span. on another note when your window walked off they may have damaged a switch in the door. this may be causing your display issues.
