I just bought a 2006 Toyota Corolla S, and my dash lights and tail lights wont come on. All the other lights work, such as the headlights, break lights, turn signals, four ways, front fog lights and brights. I tried replace the fuse underneath the steering wheel and nothing happens. I dont know what else to try?

The tail light issue could be just bad bulbs, check them with a meter ,, also, check the sockets for power to each contact point,, normally if the brake lights and flashers are working, the tail lights should too,, as far as the dash lights have you installed an after market stereo? If so a common problem is a wrong wire got grounded,The harness from the car to the factory radio has a wire for the dash lights that shows up as ground with the light off. When the lights are on the wire is 12V+. Check to see if you connected the ground from the new stereo to this wire. The radio will work perfect but everytime you turn thr park light on the fuse will blow...and the radio will continue to work. There should be a ground wire in the harness as well, ensure you connect the ground from the new stereo to this wire. there is a 15 amp fuse that blows, check them with a meter rather than by sight

Tail, side and dash board lights not working

Not totally positive but I believe on your Toyota there are two places that fuses are located. You stated that all fuses under the bonnet are fine and I assume that means under the hood. The other place to check for a blown fuse would be under the dash instrument panel usually located directly above where your left knee would be while sitting in the drivers seat. Hope this is of some help. Good. Luck.

No ligth in the dashboard and tail but, the headligths do/ 1998 toyota corolla

check all the fuses as these work off separate systems than the headlights.also make sure the headlight dimmer switch for the dash lights is not turned off with the switch.

When I turn my headlights on on my 2006 Corolla my dashboard lights go out. They come back on as soon as I turn the headlights out.

It sounds like an electrical problem. The dash lights and the headlights are on different circuits. If one crosses the other, it can cause problems. You might have a ground wire loose. All your ground wires are black. Can you test the wires? Something is causing a short. Break in wire?

Toyota Corolla 2006; Dash lights not working and tail lights not working. Checked all small fuses under the hood and under the steering wheel inside the car. I don't know which fuse engages the tail...

I had the same issues. Dash dead, tail lights dead. Fuses were fine, Dimmer relay was fine...So I got to the Tail Light Relay.

Removed the glove box, one screw on the right. Reach up (above the space where the glove box 'area' would be and there are 3 or 4 relays all sitting on top of a junction box. All of them were loose. I pushed them in...and voila! I was getting scared after the obvious.

Tail light/dash lights out

You probably have a bare wire at the back of your car that is shorting out on the frame, or against another bare wire.

Dash light do not come on but lights do for drl on 2005 chev equinox

DRL (Daytime Running Lights) will come on any time you start your car.
The dash lights do not come on, unless your headlights turn on. Either by a daylight sensor or if you manually turn them on by the switch.
So even though your headlights are on with the DRL, if you notice the tail lights do not come on (just like the dash lights don't).

To test if your dash lights do work, turn your headlight switch on. You should the the tail lights and dash lights come on.
