How do you remove the 2nd row seats in a 2006 Subaru Tribeca?

First you need to find out if the bottom seat pad is a push fit or a bolt fix. To do this you simply look at the panel below the seat pad where you heels would touch. A push fit seat pad is held in with two or three plastic pegs so there will be no bolts on that panel. These seats simply pull straight up on the front edge (the edge behind your knees) to 'Pop' the pegs free. *Note* They can be a tight fit so they might let go quite suddenly. A bolt fix seat will have a bolt or a screw holding a loop of metal to the carpeted section of the floor panel at each end of the seat. They will sometimes have a small plastic trim cap covering each one. These will pop off with a flat blade screwdriver as a lever. I think they are 12mm size bolts. The seat pad should then lift at the front edge, twist and slide out of the vehicle. If you need to remove the back rest pad it is usually held in place by 3 or 4 bolts across the lowest edge of the seat pad, also 12mm. If it has a centre arm rest fitted drop it to the down position as well as the 'Peep Hole panel giving access to the trunk. The top edge of the seat pad is held on by hooks. The seat pad should swing out at the bottom and slide up and off the hooks so you can lift it out of the vehicle. Refitting is just as easy just *Remember* to lift the seat belt fittings back into position before you bolt everything back down.

2002 Subaru outback is leaking antifreeze and not heating up.

This is common issue early sign head gaskets failure for EJ251 SOHC engine for external coolant leak. Second gen 96-99 with EJ25D is worst because when head gaskets failed, it's an internal leak that allows coolant and oil mix together in the combustion chamber to destroy engine. You can drive it for at least 6 months or more as long as you keep top up coolant since the leak should be small at a slower rate leak. I drove mine for a while before change head gaskets. You're looking at `$1000-1200 job a dealership since you might as well change the timing belt, water pump, idlers while engine is pulled to replace head gaskets.

Transmission temperature getting hot on 99 Subaru legacy station wagon

THe first step would be to check the transmission fluid level. THis needs to be done with the car in park with the engine idling. Low fluid level will cause the fluid to overheat. If the fluid is low, you will need to add some to bring it up to the correct level. Be aware that this means that you probably have a leak somewhere that needs to be fixed. If this light turns on when the car is cold, this could point to an electronic issue with the wiring or sensor inside the transmission. THis may be a good time to go ahead and do a transmission filter change (DO NOT FLUSH THE FLUID, just replace what comes out when you drop the pan to change the filter)- I would recommend doing this every 20 or 30k miles and i would also recommend adding Lucas Transmission Fix with the service.

Where is the inertia fuel switch on my 2004 Subaru Legacy Wagon

Subaru vehicles do not have inertia switches. That is a Ford item. Your fuel pressure tested good then? Those have main relays up under the dash on the far left of the drivers side, sometimes those do go bad. Your 2004 should have a fuel filter on the left strut tower, if it's never been changed that could be the problem too. I have seen fuel pumps work but the level sender go bad and say there is fuel in the tank when it's actually empty.

Subaru impreza hatchback 2007 (swedish) when I press key on button in car nothing happens and I can't start car.

If it's a push button start that you're talking about, make sure your brake lights are coming on when it's acting up. Sometimes I've had intermittent brake on/off switches cause a no crank concern because the car doesn't know you're stepping on the brake pedal. Just have someone watch the brake lights if it acts up on you.

It begins flashing about 60 seconds after the ignition switch is turned from the "ON" position to the "ACC" or "LOCK" position or immediately after the key is pulled out. If the security indicator light does not flash, the immo- bilizer system may be faulty. If this occurs, contact your SUBARU dealer as soon as possible. In case an unauthorized key is used (e.g. an imitation key), the security indicator light comes on. NOTE Even if the security indicator light flashes irregu- larly or its fuse blows (the light does not flash if its fuse is blown), the immobilizer system will func- tion normally https://www.manualslib.com/manual/232319/Subaru-2005-Forester.html?term=2-5&selected=2&page=117#manual

My Subaru will only start if I step on the gas or unplug the alternator.

Hi, It might be time to replace the alternator if removing it is the only way to make the car work. The alternator recharges your car battery. So, if unplugging it makes the car work, then you know that's it's probably taking energy from your battery at this point. (The opposite of what it's supposed to do. Thank you.

My subaru outback legacy is electrically dead.

The first things you should verify ar as follows..

- Battery connections. Check if they are cleaned and tight. Also inspect the wires for corrosion or fraying.

- Fuses. Check the under hood fuse box for fuses that are burned. If you have no power to any systems in the car it may be a main fuse that is burned.

- Check that any ground connections around the fuse box are tight and free from corrosion.
