Hi, If you have access to one end of the wires for the controls, please use a multimeter in order to test whether the corresponding wires have power first. Additionally, you can use the troubleshooting section of the car manual to understand what other options can be used to get the seat function to start working again. It might be something small like switching out a button because it's no long able to activate the corresponding trigger. Thank you.

Assuming yours is the third generation Cavalier, (1995 to 2005), the seats can only be dropped from the trunk. Open the trunk lid and look up at the underside of the parcel shelf. There should be two straps hanging side by side. If you pull the left one the left seat should release and the right one for the right seat. You should hear it release as you pull it. Sometimes you have to push Gently on the back of the seat as you pull the strap to get it to release. Swing the seat belt straps out of the way and the seat should fold almost flat.

You need to find out why it isn't moving. Possibly a motor/gear assembly will be required but it may be something mechanically simple. Take a look first!

I am not sure about that model but most Leons have an 'Electro-mechanical' system, Basically it's an electric motor powering the steering so there is no oil.

take it to a car repair shop, get it fixed end./ no car told.

Had there been work done on the seat before this happened? Possible that the seat rails have come loose allowing the seat to move in that direction.

Can you share the year, make and model of your vehicle? You'll get more accurate information if you can, since tools needed and repair procedures differ with each vehicle.

Question edited for clarity and typos. Question left in the incorrect category. Seat (pronounced See-At) is a spanish car manufacturer that make small 3 and 4 cylinder pieces of junk. I don't think they make a straight 6 or V6? ALL questions in this category need 'year make model' as the first 3 words and Fixya software will offer you the correct category. Very often searching 'year make model misfire' will show other occurrences and the the fix for it. Good testing procedure! Stuck valves only stick open. The rotating cam won't let them stick shut. Your problem is the spark plug. Replace all of them with OEM spec plugs, normally Champion, NGK or Bosch.

If you are talking about the yellow plug, it should have a red lock that has to be removed before the connector will disconnect. Make sure that you do not turn the key to the ON position while the plug is disconnected or you will set a code that will need to be cleared in the SRS system.
