The clicking will be the starter solenoid not getting enough juice. Check the battery charge, especially the connections, which may need to be cleaned. Use Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda) in a little water to clean the connections, which will sizzle a bit. Wipe dry and clean.

These days, fuel is filtered by the fuel pump before it leaves the tank. The short answer is that to access it, you will need to remove the fuel pump. Check ignition key battery

If your crank sensor is out of range then there will be NO signal going to the fuel pump. Try to hear the pump once the ignition key is turned on, you can also check the pressure from the shredder valve on the fuel rail. Check the fuel pump relay too.
