Cigar lighter (power outlet) fuses in the Scion tC are the fuses #34 "CIG" (Cigarette lighter) and #37 "ACC SOCKET" (Power outlet) in the Instrument panel fuse box. It is a 15 Amp fuse.

the service manual does no lie to you , read it? 2ZR-FE????? engine? ok the month car made new 2011 is what is truth in the book 8/2011 cut off date says under rear seat YES. I guess july 2011 NO. new cars start july1 every year for next year.

scan it , it will tell you why. if TBW fails throttle by wire fails speed is like 20mph max or less. on purpose., so scan it. also if RPM is low foot ******* the throttle.? then engine power lacks, scan it. if RPM goes way high but MPH not same increase,the transmission is dead or slipping.

limited info generic answer assuming keys are lost and had key cut using vin locksmiths can cut keys but need one that is auto authorized so it can be programmed --dealer is option if none of locksmiths are able to program the key

scan the PCM and see why it fails.??? BINGO not told what is wrong at all or if car was in a crash.. just another WILD GOOSE CHASE HUNT>(sad) you do know EFI can cut fuel many ways, using its hard coded PCM logic programming. here is the list. (the pump never has a switch ever) 1: PCM has detected spark fails and cuts fuel fast. it cuts the injectors or more. 2: PCM sees cmp or ckp sensors dead it cuts fuel. 2b PCM sees engine RPM at 0 ,cuts fuel 3: PCM seens SRS bangs failing , i cuts fuel 4: if pCM sees bad TPS it cuts fuel of WOT is signed. 5: some countries mandate inertial cut switch near pump, fuel line external to tank or others add them , we look and not guess.(there) been talking you to ford or mazda owners.? sorry that does not fly. i try to buy this nebular part at parts store, and none found. I google it and not one hit for found it. any where on earth but maybe 10 asks and 0 hits for answers. due to IT'S NOT THERE! why post HUNTS at all why not post real problems with the car ,symptoms . engine dead, must I guess ? or buy the service manual and you read it.?

On most cars, trucks and small vans the hood release is mechanical so the dead battery should have no effect on it. Once you have got the hood open you will need to find out what is draining the battery. What EXACTLY happens when you try to open the hood? Is the lever tight or loose? Does it return to the rest position? If the lever has tension in it get a helper to push up and down on the hood as you pull the release lever. This sometimes works the latch loose. If the lever has become slack check the actual cable is still connected to the back of the lever arm. If the tail of the cable is visible you can sometimes grab it with a pair of grips/pliers to pull it.

Put you car in neutral and see if the car will start .there maybe a switch that lets the car start only when the clutch is pressed down. Look on the shaft of the clutch to see if there is a switch it is under the dash board on the shaft that leads to the transmission .

have you checked the fuses? i know it sound simple but that's the first place to check.. it's possible (not likely) for a battery change to arc and burn a fuse..

you can't always tell by gauging the battery.. it sounds to me like you need to charge that battery... notice i said charge not jump because you can cause computer problems by jumping newer vehicles.. just hook the charger cables up according to your vehicle manual and just let it charge a while before trying to start it. that's the direction i would go . if you are not comfortable with doing this yourself call AAA auto service (it's a cheap service and nice to have) AND if you have a friend who has it, they can usually get it done free so long as they are physically with the car when the guys show up ..

you might have released trapped air into the system. open the pump fill and see if there are air bubbles ..if so go to youtube and search removing air from power steering pump.. that's my guess

That is the dumbest thing I have heard, most cars go their whole life without even checking the power steering fluid. I have never heard of anybody changing it, and never heard of it being dirty. But your car is brand new, and the dealer must be on drugs. But who am I ? Why would he say that anyway? Is the steering giving you trouble? Pump making noise? Leaking?

well doing that blows up electronics. fire your jump man and send them, the bill. here is what to do. check all fuses. first, as in ALL , all in cab and all in engine bay then scan the oBD2 port at drivers knee's scan it and see what blew up. or get it can fixed in a real shop.

does car have RADIO controls in he steering wheel>????????? check fuses yet. scan the car for radio or omg, clock spring errors? if RADIO as PASS word (code) lock out, the manual in the glove box shows how to get that code , and record you to paper if battery in cars goes or does doing service the radio codes must be retrieved. first. even the Next button can be bad. cars are dirty things and switches of any kind can fail for dirt. at any time, blow the switch out with shop air or can-o-air sold at walmart rear, in computer sections? if you scan the car with OBD2 scan tool it will show a ton of B1xxx codes. vast errors possible like this one, FYI you can not fix, modern cars lacking a 2008 and up scan tool. for any kind of electric or EFI failures, of any kind. so not you know why you guess and wrong too.
