Automatic gearbox warning. Limited performance warning on Automatic transmission, one day it lights up the next day it does not. It says to contact service. Everything though is working fine, does it need a gearbox oil change? According to the service manual it should be checked at 120 000km but I have some 113 000km at the moment. Thanks

always treat a warning message as serious and have it check at an accredited service center
could be that the oil needs replacing, a problem sensor or wiring or clutch/band adjustment
although there are manufacturers that say the oil never needs changing(GM for example), transmission oil suffers from extreme temperatures and loads and these factors cause oxidation of the oil (burning ) that requires the oil to be changed on a regular basis (60,000-100,000 miles or 100,000 klm

Dealer said fuel filter does not need changing if pump is working, is this correct?

No, the filter should be changed on a regular basis according to our maintenance schedule. The job of the filter is to remove contaminates in the gas. Over time the filter gets dirty and less efficient which can affect gas mileage and eventually cause the fuel pump to fail as it is working harder to supply gas to engine. It is cheap insurance.
