Hello all I have an accent 2005 CRDI. It starts in the morning After a little ride It stubborns to start and I can see lot of smoke and the mechanic says it is fuel injector problem. Please advice .

Venkata, According to Injectorrx.com: "
Fuel injector symptoms for bad, faulty, dirty, clogged, or leaking injectors are :

  • Starting issues

  • Poor idle

  • Failed emissions

  • Poor Performance

  • Engine does not reach full RPM

  • Increased fuel consumption

  • Rough engine performance

  • Surging and bucking under various throttle loads

  • Smoke from the tail pipe

  • Engine Knock or Detonation which can lead to catastrophic engine failure

  • Pollution"

Venakta: I have had very good luck with a fuel injector cleaner sold by Advanced Auto called KX44 but some people like Seafoam. It is a cheaper place to start than with a mechanic.

Check the glow plugs but it sounds like the injectors and pump needs to be serviced.

my accent crdi engine was over hauled recently but severe black smoke was coming when accelerated what to do

Black smoke is from too much fuel. Possible coolant sensor problem??? You can have this tested quickly with a live data scanner from a mechanic.

my accent crdi 2005 has done 110000 kms . i have regularly serviced it with oil change at 5000 kms interval. but now i have started feeling a lag in the pickup .starting is ok ,smokes only under excessive acceleration.

Sounds like you may have a bad piston ring. Get a compression test done and that will tell you if the ring is bad or not. Also, try using a product called seafoam in your engine. The seafoam will clean your engine out very well.
