Tip & How-To about Toyota Corolla

Ignitions Repacement

When changing an igintion:

1. Upon purchasing new one, be sure to provide as much information as possible about the vehicle. Engine size, year, make model, automatic or manual, transmission size, etc.

2. Make sure you pay attention to how the old ignition is removed, as the installation is usually the reverse of removal. Most ignitions will require the key being turned to remove old one, and install new one.

3. Be sure you disconnect the battery as a safety precaution as with all electrical repairs on automotives.

4. It is best to have a repair manual handy incase any problem arise during the removal and installation process, and it is best to read and understand any and all instructions provided prior to attempting such repairs. This is true for any and all repairs.

Sorry, your question does not contain enough information for anyone to help you with your problem. For anyone to provide the information for you, they will first need to know the YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, and ENGINE SIZE of the vehicle that you want the information for.

where due i find a oil pressure sending unit

Sorry sandrahansha,
Your question is unclear. Are you looking for the oil pressure sending unit on your vehicle? Or are you trying to find a place to purchase an oil pressure sending unit?

If you want to know where it is located on your vehicle, you need to provide information about your vehicle including YEAR, MAKE, MODEL and ENGINE SIZE. Otherwise, there is no way anyone can answer this question for you.
If you are looking to purchase one, the answer is that they are available at any auto parts retailer.

I replaced my upper rad. hose and thermostat housing. The piece w/ the two bolts had a metal plate that acted as a gasket. I'm getting leaking from there and don't know why. Please help.

It would help greatly to know what you're working with. No thermostat housing uses a metal plate for a gasket. Some will use a paper gasket and some vehicle will use a rubber o-ring that fits around the thermostat.
Impossible to tell you what you need since you gave no make, model, year, etc..
