Avoiding a runaway with you Toyota

I have a 2007 Toyota Camry and I have tested to see if I can put the car in neutral at any speed and I can. So write yourself a note and place it on you dash or steering wheel or anywhere it is visible in case of panic. If it starts to accelerate push in neutral, not park, in neutral pull over and shut it off. The engine should not race itself to death they should have a rev limiter to take care of that. Try it out on your car so you feel comfortable with shifting into neutral if it tries to get away from you.

Starting problems on a Toyota Camry 2007
  1. cranking problem or dead silent starter or only clicks:?
  2. starter motor cranks fast but engine fails to start?
#1 is easy fix.
#2 can be 50 causes. and lots of tests.

fuses good
is car automatic trans?
if yes and starter motor is dead. then crank in Neutral next.
if cranking is dead, jumper cable ,jump starts the cure?

looses power under a load put in neutral give gas runs good
sound like fuel filter stopped up.if you have distributor type engine your idle speed could be too low and ignition timing off a little.

where can i buy the drl kit for 2007 toyota camry ?
For a 2007, most of the wiring is already in place they pre wire them and if thats an option on the car the put in the parts, i would call the dealer and talk to them about a kit, this suprises me a 2007 without day time running lights all new cars come with that, i would call dealer and ask them about it, maybe someone had them dissconnected?, well i hope this helps you, good luck.
