How To Replace A Heater Core 1995 Olds Aurora

Start inside the vehicle on the drivers side, remove the drivers side bottom dashboard plastic panels, you'll need to pop out the switches on either side of the steering column to access the 10mm bolts that hold the plastic panel, and steel panel under it. Working directly in front of the console above the floor, by the firewall, will be a black plastic cover on top of another black plastic cover. They are held in by 5.5 mm screws. Once both panels are removed, you will finally see the heater core. There are 2 straps that hold the heater core in place. Remove the 5.5 mm screws that hold the straps to the housing. Now, from under the hood, around the center of the firewall, there will be a rectanglar shaped vacuum box mounted on top of a relay bracket, remove to 3 10mm nuts to move vacuum box and relay bracket out of the way to access the heater core hoses. It may help to, from the inside, push the heater core forward thru the firewall, and then from under the hood, cut the aluminum tubes a inch or so from the heater hoses, a long sharp edge flat blade screwdriver might help. You can do this from inside the car, but watch for anti freeze. Remove the hog ring clamps, vice grips might help, in removing them. Use alot of WD-40, by spraying between the hose and the tubing, use a thin screwdriver between the hose and tubing to break the seal of the rubber hose to the tubing. Remove the 2 tubing pieces from the heater hoses. You are ready to reassemble. I'd replace the clamps with some worm gear clamps, alot easier to deal with.

General instructions for door panel removal; Door panels are attached to the door frame with clips such as the one above. The ribbed, screw-like part of the clips are inserted into holes in the door frame around the perimeter of the sides and bottom of the panel
Auto Repair Mechanics How to Remove Car Door Panel

The video shows details of door panel removal. First locate all the screws on the door panel, usually at the door handle and door rest. Look for any hidden screws that may be covered with small plastic caps.

After all screws are removed, the side and bottom clips need to be popped out of the door frame. You can purchase a set of trim tools to pop the clips, or you can use flat blade screw drivers and a flat putty knife to pop the clips out. Sometimes the clips break, but they are replaceable. Once the sides and bottom are loose, the top of the panel is loosened by lifting up on the panel, disengaging the panel from the top track on the door frame. Be careful of wiring connectors, which will have to be disconnected to completely remove the panel.

My 1991 MR2 keys are worn to the point that they are beginning to not function. I want to get new keys cut at the dealer. They need to code that they say is on the passenger side lock cylinder. How does one get to the lock cylinder to read it

you need to remove the inner door panel, this is done by removing the screws that hold it in places, ( sometimes under plastic caps, that cover the screw, and sometimes inside the door pull handle ( that hole you pull the door shut with ) also,, along the bottom and sides there are clips Just grab the bottom of the door and pull out on it, work your way along the bottom and up both sides, to get the panel off you need to lift it up off the window edge,, also, inside the door release lever there is probably a screw, once removed, you need to turn the handle slightly and feed it back through the hole, you can get the retaining cover around the edge of the handle, by slipping a flat head screw driver inside next to the hinged end of the handle , and pop it outwards towards you , that gets you in the door, a plastic water shield covers the inside of the door,, Just peel it out of the way ,, you'll see a hole that contains the door lock cylinder, the arms to it are held on with little plastic clips,, and they get very brittle,, pop those off, you will see the items, (either a screw or bolt) that hold the cylinder in place, remove that

I need to remove 2004 toyota sequoia tailgate door panel to get access the rear tail light to install a backup camera. I don't see any obvious removal points.

Slide the plastic cover off the tailgate ******** the passenger side to reveal a 10mm bolt.

Remove the bolt and the strap/

Using a flat prying instrument, remove the center trim section one the inside of the tailgate above the window.

Grab the top edges of the side trim sections on the inside of the tailgate and pull down to remove.

Using a flat instrument, pry at the bottom edge of the tailgate main trim panel, it is held on with about 12 plastic pop-in fasteners so it will take several 'pops' before it is released.

Behind that there is a metal access cover the width of the tailgate, held on by ~5x pop in fasteners and ~10x 10 mm bolts. Remove the bolts and pop the panel loose, it will hang by the wiring so support it while you do your camera work :)

The license plate trim panel, should you need to remove it, requires remoaval of the license plate.

Then remove ~3x 10mm bolts from the top of the panel, accessed from the inside.

Using long needle nose pliers compress the pop-fasteners holding the lower corners of the license plate trim panel on, being careful not to let it drop and slide down the vehicle, scratching the paint :)

how to replace driver side window 97 4 door honda civic

normally on the honda2.gif models there are two screws that need to be taken out, the inside latch area (plastic cap covering it) and the door pull (normally down in the bottom covered with a plastic cap), thin small flat blade will work to remove. once the is done you will need to pull out the latch area on the driver's window control panel, disconnect the connectors. set the aside, next you will need a thin flat blade screw driver or flat pry bay, start at the bottom of the door to pry out the panel, check for screws, if you cannot see any proceed to using the flat blade to remove the panel (will make a loud snapping or popping noise, this is normal) once you have loosened the panel, you will need to remove the plastic covering the access to the mirror (small triangle black plastic piece). this should now allow you to set the door panel aside, check to make sure you have removed all the clips. carefully remove the plastic lining cover the door, try not to tear or rip it. now you will need to remove the glass, there are two holes the allow access to the bolts for the window, connect your Power window switch and raise or lower till you can see them ( possibly a 10 mm socket) unscrew and set aside, hold the top of the window with one hand and lower the window to separate it form the brace. tilt the front side of the window down and remove glass set aside, replace your new window and re assemble as you have taken apart, most cases this is about two hours, Good Luck !!!
