Tip & How-To about Jeep Grand Cherokee

The power door lock and windows do not work on passenger side of 2004 Grand Cherokee jeep?

If the power door lock and windows are not working on the passenger side of your jeep then it’s the fault in the wiring's.please check out the following option mentioned below to resolve this problem:--
There is a black ground wire. Its located in the wiring harness.
The black ground wire in the wiring harness that goes between the drivers door and the kick panel of the jeep is probably got split or got cut in between. The wire is located inside the black rubber accordion box which looks like a boot/cover. You need to splice a longer piece of wire and connect the two broken ends of wire together to repair this problem.

All power locks, mirror and windows on passenger side stopped working on six cylinder 1996 grand jeep cherokee ltd. Is there a seperate fuse for the left side and where is it located?

No there is not a seperate fuse, but all power goes through driver door. First check to see if windows roll up and down using switches on drivers side. If they work then try the passenger side. If they don't work then the problem is with the passenger side switches. IF nothing works at on using either side switches then check the wiring through the kick panel and through the door, it could be that wire has been disconnected or cut. Good Luck.

1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4 x 2, windows and door locks work on driver side, but not passenger side.

sounds like an open power or ground circuit on passenger side, since the door lock and the window, lost its functioning. Both switches would have to be bad at the same time, which is not probable, to be the fault. Unless there is a saftey lock out switch on the drivers panel, controling the passenger side door lock and window.

Power locks and windows

You my have a "electrical gramlin" in you car.. check the whole wiring from driver side to passenger side, to the doors, under the floor mats, check all connectors. It looks like you lost the complete connection to passenger side. Maybe the conector from the body to the passenger front door is open. There is a screw in the middle of the connector, check this first.

1999 Jeep Grand cherokee

Check the wiring between the drivers door and the A pillar(the body of the car). Sometimes the harness breaks from opening and closing the door.
