Why does my vehicle die when battery cable's are removed but has good battery

If your vehicle dies when the battery cables are removed despite having a good battery, it could be a problem with your alternator. The alternator is responsible for charging the battery while the engine is running. If the alternator is faulty or not functioning properly, the battery might not be getting charged, and the vehicle will rely solely on the battery's power. When you disconnect the battery cables, the vehicle loses its power source and can no longer operate. Alternatively, there could be a problem with the electrical system or wiring in the vehicle. Issues such as corroded battery terminals, loose connections, or a faulty ignition switch can also cause similar symptoms. It is essential to have the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic to diagnose and address the underlying issue. They can perform tests on the battery, alternator, and electrical system to determine the cause of the problem and recommend the necessary repairs.

Aveo 80,000 miles 2009. Acts like it doesn't get fuel. Jerks, and dies. Keeps this up, and then maybe takes ooff real fast. Especially when it is warm out.

Well that's where doing some testing comes into play . Instead of asking on here an expecting a magical fix , learn how to test an lean about the different systems on your vehicle . Test the fuel system , fuel pump pressure an flow , testing electrical circuits with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter . Eliminate thing's that are right . Find service information manual so you know what the fuel pressure is suppose to be , how much current the fuel pump is expected to draw . Also the electronic ignition system specification. I think it's cool you want to find out about you vehicle , but go to school an learn about it the right way . Because listening to someone guess will get you no where . Your vehicle is a rolling computer , has a lot of electronics . Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know Motor Age TST New Battery Starting Charging System Testing Techniques

Well, don't get nervous. Having to play with the switch and having eventually close the window is a good thing. Go to the aoto psrts store and pick up some silicone spray lubricant.Open the sunroof and spay everything you can see. AAny Tracks, guides. etc. close the window so its only about 3/4 shut and spray yje newly expose tracks and whatever else that has come into view. See how that does asyou run the window through several open and close cycles. Those sunroof motors sre not very powerful and the least bit of resistance works them hard. Good Luck -Ned_
