My 91 sundance doesnt want

Seen this twice. Chrysler has a fail safe to lock the transmission in 2nd gear when a problem is detected. Could be a bad filter or a solenoid. Unless you know much about transmissions it is easier to go to a shop and have them do a computer hook-up to isolate the problem.

Where is the windshield wiper

If you would like to know where certain components are located on your car it would be very helpful if you would take a moment to mention what kind of car you would like information for. YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE SIZE would be good for starters.

You can EXPECT to have to replace a few parts on a 17-year-old car...Doesn't make it a devil, just makes it a senior citizen in need of a little TLC...:)
The MOST LIKELY cause of your problem is the ignition pick-up coil. It is located under the distributor cap and looks like the picture below.

hi there, you should take your car to a radiator shop and have them clean the radiator. To do this they dismantle it and clean all the tubes etc. This is not a job to do at home. They radiator electric fan shoud not run all the time only when it is switched on by the water temp switch which could be faulty. It sounds most likely that your problem is more associated with a partially blocked radiator.

Check for cracked rubber hoses. Of you smell gas, it's finding its way out from somewhere near the tank. It isn't unheard of to have a rotted metal fuel line either. While you are checking, make sure to also check the large rubber hose that connects the filler neck to the tank.

I cant get spark on

Please make sure that the trigger required for the coil to give out the High voltage to spark comes from the pulsating voltage at the coil LT( low tension).
So check for the make /break on the coil- on one side you will need the positive and on the other the trigger. Once this is seen then the distribution can be checked, check the HT wires and contacts in the distributor.

Will not start no fire

It's always a good idea to start electrical malfuction diagnosis by carefully inspeting the applicable wiring, look for melted burnt or cut wires or loose connectors or connector pins. If your Sundance is equiped a 4 cylinder engine have the distributor pickup tested . If equipped with a 6 cylinder engine have the ECM/PCM tested. With either engine find the applicable testing specs and use an ohmeter to check the ignition coil primary/secondary resistance.

That should be radiator fan relay, open or shorted. If your radiator fan is working as it should, the code may have been stored before rad fan was fixed.

POWER NOT GETTING TO STARTER--WILL

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. If you have a vehicle that will not crank or just clicks when you try to start it, there are a few different things you can check to get back on the road. First, if it is clicking, or just clicks a time or two, this usually means there is no power to the starter. You need to check your battery first. You need to test it and make sure the battery is good and able to hold a proper charge. You want to make sure your battery terminals and the battery post are cleaned very good. You can take a metal brush to the terminals and the battery post to clean them. Make sure the metal ends of the battery terminals are not cracked or damaged. They can prevent you from getting a good connection. You also want to inspect the wire that goes from the battery to the starter for damage. Once your at the starter, you want to make sure it is not caked with oil or other fluids.. If it is, it can prevent the starter from working. You want to make sure the starter is hooked up properly and the connection is not damaged or loose. Your starter may be bad. Try hitting the starter a few times. It may be enough to make it catch and start, just enough to get you home. Of course, it will need changed. If you ever work on the starter, make sure you unplug the battery before you do. It may be your starter solenoid that is the problem, so don't forget to check that as well. Now, if it is not clicking, you should check your ignition fuse first. If your inside lights are not working or your lights are flickering, this is a sign of a bad connection. Once again, you need to refer back to the battery. Many people don't know that if the battery is not giving off the full amount of power, chances are, the parts will not work correctly. Lastly, if the starter is not engaging the fly wheel, your car will not start as well. By learning what to check for when this happens, you can save time and money in the future. As always, thank you for reading and best wishes. Thanks for using FixYa.

Drain plug on radiator. Can it be replaced?

Yes.

I know this because I googled for "radiator plug 1989 Sundance" and got a page full of replacement Sundance radiator drain plugs, mostly the one made by Dorman, for well under $20.

If you register for free for a login at autozone.com, you can try and get the instructions for replacing the plug from the Repair Info link on their home page. I get a lot of repair info that way (I have several vehicles, none newer than 20 years old). Other parts stores have similar online help, and most won't let you use it unless you register.

I am not affiliated with Autozone in any way, I'm just a satisfied loyal customer sharing my good opinion of the service they provide.
