There is a door inside your dash that switches from heat to defrost when you operate the dash control, it is not working. Could be as simple as a bad vacuum hose. You are lucky it is on defrost since it is close to winter.

Just remove all the bolts after draining and drop down. Make sure no gasket material is left on the lip

They all do. Get a new gasket and use black RTV on both sides of it. If you mean from the axle seals then it's done, the differential bearings were terrible in those.

Fuse for what exactly?, normally there are two fuse box locations, one on the inside like you mention above, the other would be under the hood. It depends on which fuse or relay you are looking for and wish to replace!

I believe they work off same fuse

Is it hooked up right ! Have seen wires reversed causing same problem !

The routing diagram should be on a sticker under your hood. Another quick source is a book store for a mechanics book.

You will have to drain the gas tank (remove battery connection first). There will be a couple of straps or brackets holding the tank in place. Remove those and drop the tank. On the top you will see the fuel pump fastened into the tank on the top side. Remove that, replace with new one and put it back together. You may have to reset the fuel shut off to get it running again.

Could be temp sensor, relay, fuse, or even a broken wire.

You know you have 2 flashers right, one for emergency flashers and one for signal lights? Does it refuse to flash on both sides, right and left? Have you checked all bulbs front and back are good?

detent cable way out of adjustment

Low beam filaments may be blown. The high and low beams have separate filaments. You can remove connections and test bulbs with an ohm meter.

Follow wires from headlight back to a small dimmer relay switch. should be on one of the engine side of the front wheel well.

cause you need to replace the burned out one or contacts on back of bulb are dirty

I had a similar problem in my BMW. It turned out to be a bad drive shaft U-Joint. Of course if your car is not a rear wheel drive, it probably isn't that. Hope this helps

Try replacing spark plugs and ignition leads!

Being front wheel drive you might want to check the engine mounts. When your driving it ,the engine will move because of the torque. this is normal . If the mounts are bad it might be rattling or rubbing on something .

Many auto parts stores will do scans for free to display what the check engine light is on for.
